I'll start by saying that in the end they made an effort to correct everything. However . . .
1. Although in person both partners were quite cordial, several unreturned phone calls should have been a clue.
2. Just as I was ready to hire someone else I received a call that Kilpatrick was in the area and ready to pick up my chair.
I should have stuck with Plan B.
3. Truck driver (one partner) assured me my fabric had been ordered. The paperwork I eventually received showed it was
not ordered until a couple of weeks later.
4. Minutes after the chair was delivered and the driver (partner) left I discovered that an entire rocker had been broken off and
glued back on. The stain was still wet! Nothing had been said about the mishap.
I called the shop and the second partner swore he hadn't known about the broken rocker. He did, however, arrange to have the chair taken to a furniture restorer. It is now back, and in reasonable shape.
I really cannot comprehend not telling a customer about damage and repair that happened while the furniture was in your possession!
