I have service contract with Horizon and everyone they have ever sent to inspect my hvac and furnace has been very knowledgeable. The last person, Alex was very helpful with a very complicated problem of condensation on a wall. He proposed some options and began by adjusting the fan- the least involved one He called the office to get further expert input from managers. When I had to replace my AC earlier this year, they gave me by far the best price and efficient service. They explained my options clearly and did not try to hawk their mist expensive product. All reps were oriented to what is best for the customer.

Amazing!!! Mike was the sale rep. He was smart, thorough, patients and I was impress with him. The guys that installed was so nice and wonderful.

Anthony from Horizon did a great job-was very responsive and helped the house get cool in the interim while I waited for them to order the part. They did not charge me to diagnose the problem even though that is standard for them, which I really appreciated. (I had just had a poor experience with another company and knew the needed part already. ) Even without the charge for the diagnosis, the cost of the minor fix was at the high end, but I am appreciative that it is all done.

Old AC unit wasn't working. Two companies gave same diagnosis that repairs would not be cost effective. First company just said "we'll replace it". Horizon however did an analysis of the house, duct system, sun exposure, location of the outside unit, and based their recommendation on that. They gave me a price significantly under the 1st guy's price for a better unit (both were Trane dealers selling Trane units). The installers were two professional-looking and professional-acting guys who knew what they were doing. They called to tell us they were on the way, arrived at 8:30 a.m and immediately went to work. They had to rebuild the furnace duct work to hold the new inside coil unit, move the central humidifier, install the new inside coil, and replace the outside unit. All done in pretty short time- they were done by 1:00 p.m., with the system tested. They added a nice touch: a safety shutoff switch in the condensate drain line- so if the drain ever clogged, the system would shut down to prevent water damage to the surround area. When done, they cleaned up all debris and carted off all the old stuff. Both installers were friendly and willing to answer my questions. They made sure that I understood the operation of the system before they left. An hour or so after they left I was down in the basement and heard a strange noise - a soft "slapping" noise, like paper flapping - coming from the furnace blower. I called the Horizon office. They in turn contacted the installers, who came back to the house in less than 30 minutes. They went down to the furnace room, listened for 2 seconds, and asked me to get a cup of water. All that was needed to fix the noise was to put water back into the drain trap (which had emptied out when the installers re-configured the line to fit the new system). We were pleased both with the prompt response as well as their ability to diagnose and correct the problem immediately.

The technician (Tony) came out to survey the layout and suggest options for adding a central humidifier. He asked questions, suggested three approaches (we chose the most expensive, a steam humidifer). He went out to his truck, worked up an estimate and emailed it to us before leaving the drivewsay. We agreed. The unit was ordered and within 10 days he was back to install it. The installation went smoothly. He started by reviewing what we wanted done (right on target), then went to work. A couple of things came up where he thought that a slight change from the initial plan would be better and asked us to decide which way to go- we agreed with his suggestions as they made a lot of sense (and did not change the cost). He was here between 4 and 5 hr to do the installation, relocate wiring, and connect a new thermostat. When done, he demonstrated the operation of the humidifier and the new thermostat (which controlled heat, AC and humidity). He cleaned up the work sites very well. All the work was done neatly (installing new breaker, running wiring and plumbing). His approach was very professional and polite. we would be happy to use him in the future for any heating / ac work

In both cases, they explained the options and the price associated with them. As good or better in price then others. Big company so can help with anything involving HVAC and can respond to you quickly.

From the time they walked in the door for the estimate to the time they finished the job, I have absolutely nothing negative to say. They were very clean, neat, did what they said they would, and worked together really well, almost as if they are a family. They still check up on us from time to time. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

I signed up for a contract winter, summer and spring. I never had a house with a/c, so I don't know how to compare them.

They had to come out twice before it finally worked...two weeks after installation. That's why I rated the cost of service as C. Plus for that price, I should get an appropriate "cover." Instead I got a plain piece of plywood!

The salesperson did a good job explaining the systems and preparing proposals which addressed my stated desires. The installers were knowledgeable and cleaned up very well after completing the installation.

I now have a service contract with Horizon. I am retired engineer and the work of their techs was up to my expectations. They came promptly and did the job without high pressure to buy something extra. Look at their website. I think it says a lot that they are involved in our community.

Have service contract with them. They come out twice a year for maintenance service.

They look at everything when they come. There is no cost.

VERY disappointing! I was seeking a HVAC contractor to provide an annual service contract for my heat pump. I requested that a technician inspect the equipment before I sign a contract. I was pleasantly surprised when two technicians came to my home a few days later and performed a through inspection of all items in the system - at no charge. They even saw fit to photograph the identification plates on the equipment to record the model and serial numbers. After ten days had elapsed I still had not been contacted by the company and I called to inquire when I would be receiving a service contract to sign. The person answering the telephone said they would check and call me back. It's now four days later and still no telephone call. Today I signed a service contract with another company.

It went very well. It pass county inspection.
