HOLBERTS TREE SVC

Holberts Tree Svc came in and grinded all our stuff, the old man who came in was very nice.

Curtis Holbert of Holbert Tree Service promised to clear our lot of some trees, underbrush and remove stumps. He had a verbal agreement with us that it would take 3-4 days of work to complete the service. He showed up with a bill of four times as much work at 16 1/2 days. He never removed any stumps and left the driveway full of deep ruts and never underbrushed around the property as he originally promised. We tried to settle this in court stating we would pay him if he just finished the work. He lied to the judge several times even after swearing on the Bible; a poor shame. He lied stating that we kept adding more work when we never did as all work was agreed to up front. He told the judge that he removed 62 trees which was far from the truth (wish he showed a bill for the amount of money he received from the logs which he sold but he had no receipts; pathetic!). Seems that was enough to convince the judge to rule in his favor despite all the evidence we had on his unfinished work; the system failed here and let another liar get their way. He got four times as many days paid for plus the money he made selling the logs from our land.
When we asked Curtis Holbert for a contract he stated that he doesn't do contracts; so much for trusting someone in a small town; our fault and lesson learned. We only hired him because he told us he cleared an adjacent lot. He lied about that too and we found out later from the lot owner that he was trespassing on that property. It felt like he knew all along he was going to rip us off. There is so much more to write about his deception but I have just wasted enough time on him and the courts thinking that the legal system would see through his lies. The courts let us down but in a small town like this if you do an awful job it gets around. Many of our neighbors are witness to the horrible status he left our lot in. We had a very bad experience with his service and would never recommend him to anyone. There are too many other honest tree companies in Hendersonville to pick this shady one. We were deceived up front by him and we hope he never does something so unethical again.

Holbert's Tree Svc were excellent. They were prompt and individualism were excellent. The price was good. This is the second time that we used them and I would definitely use them in the future and recommend them.

They arrived on time and removed limbs and trees, some which were very close to my neighbors house without any damage to building or grounds. They were very efficient, finishing in less than 2 hours to include a thorough clean up. This is the 3rd time I have used Holberts Tree Service.

Steve was working in our neighborhood and my husband went to ask him about some trees we needed taken down. He came right then, looked it over and gave us a fair price. We even made the appointment for later that week. They came on time and before long, the trees were down, cut up, chipped up and the entire area was cleaned up. The guys even replanted a small tree that we had dug up to get out of the way of the big ones coming down. Steve and his men were professional, knowledgable and really nice. I would recommend them to anyone and will be using them again!

The crew arrived promptly when they sad they would. They went to work immediately, removed the hanging limb and all the storm debris. Cleaned up the mess and left the yard looking good. Steve was very courteous and professional in all respects.

Curtis and Steve Holbert arrived this morning and immediately went to work trimming my trees. They had to climb three trees and cut limbs from one side of two trees. They cleaned up all of the debris immediately, leaving the yard looking nice. The crew was courteous and professional. Their equipment was well maintained and they did a great job for me at a reasonable price.
