Description of Work: Our equally crooked builder insisted on using this Haskins because of his track redord with county inspectors- turns out tht the big loophole for the shoddy septic instller in NC Building Code is that any engineering degree will lways trump a county water and sewer inspector. Obviously legitimate indiviuals may have more training, but haskins uses the hole in the code to install non compliant systems all over the blue ridge. My tank was 'installed' 3 times as far as his bill, but i can call the first effort where the thing was simply set in a low spot in tyhe yard and not even buried installaltion. It got worse. All plans had specked a 3 pump system that tied effluent from 2 cabins to a collection tank that would be pumped 1500 ft uphill to the only perking soil on the place. Elaborate but understandable- after 2 years of constants alarms, pump failure and a yard tht is a 2 acre cess pool in heavy rain-- i open igt up nd poke around to find there is NO CONNECTION TRO A LEACHFIELD. Excavatiion to gather stones in the reputed leachfield last year confirmed the total absence of any leach pipes up there.
