Camping World of Asheville

They attempted to open up the pop-up section without removing the latch and snapped the cables. We had to take the camper in to another company to get it repaired before trading it in. They were also very unresponsive on several occasions when we went in for help, the employees were too busy playing ping pong to answer our questions on one occasion and the man who helped us could not tell us much of anything anyways.

First let me state that we purchased a used Class A Motorhome from Camping World of Asheville last year. The provided a PDI saying that everything was working to specification. Turns out that the ABS sensor light (which they supposedly fixed) came on again while we were driving (through the mountains no less),and melted causing the brakes to pit. We took it to Tom Johnson's in Marion for servicing since I was leery about Camping World since they had already told us it was fixed. Turns out the part was under recall which Camping World should have known about and fixed. Because they didn't fix it and said it was, it cost us $236 for new brakes due to the ABS sensor failure. In addition, the camper needed 6 new tires which cost $2100+ which we were never informed about. Beware the RV Sales department.
At that time I decided that I would shop at their store for camper merchandise, but I would never return for service.
I made an exception today because all I needed was to have an inspection for the state of NC so I could purchase my annual tag. This inspection should take 30 minutes. I made an appointment two weeks ago. When I arrived, I was told that my appointment was a half hour earlier (it wasn't, I had written it down in my calendar), but that they would still do the inspection. TWO HOURS later, I was first leaving. There was only one service adviser who wasn't at the desk most of the time (I think he was hiding in the back from his customers).
A 30-minute $13.60 inspection cost me 2 hours of my time. Most of the time, the rig was just sitting in the bay with no one even looking at it. Needless to say, I will NEVER return for RV SALES OR SERVICE again. Shop in the store, but beware the sales and service practices and useless, worthless, second-rate, lousy, horrible customer service!

I told my wife to go by to look and make sure that is camper she wants, if she did not like it then she pick one she wanted.Pam was very patient and showed my wife camper and she found the one she wanted. This camper my wife picked was upgrade and the got price close to what camper i picked out. so i went ahead and bought camper plus they was fair about my camper i traded in as well.i everybody at camper world was top notch and easy to work with. What meant alot to me as well is the fact they made it easy for my wife to pick one she wanted. The day we picked up camper they took the time to show us everything about camper and answerd all questions. If any body is looking for great service and a good place to buy a camper and camping stuff, this is the place!

The Service Dept did an excellent job of listening to concerns, identifying solutions and got the job done right. Brian is an excellent service manager. Highly recommend getting service work at this Camping World.
