Did you know that encapsulating crawlspaces actually can raise your radon level in your home? If at any point the radon level gets above the recommended 4.0 pCi/L the radon mitigation system can become active by installing a radon fan. This can save the homeowner considerable time and money down the road.) 2. Basement waterproofing 3. Foundation crack repair with a lifetime warranty 4. Concrete Lifting and leveling. An economical, fast, and environmentally friendly option to fix uneven concrete slabs. 5. Radon Testing & Mitigation.

Based on Angie's List reviews and the recommendation of a neighbor, Basement and Radon Solutions was selected to provide a quote for a mitigation system. Following a visit to my home, Stanley provided several choices for the location of the system. After discussing the pros and cons of each option with Stanley, a solution was chosen which provides effective mitigation and minimal visual impact.
Stanley and his assistant, Roy, were very punctual and did a very professional and neat installation. Stanley explained his work to me at every step of the way. Stanley then set up his radon detector to determine the level of effectiveness of the system. The reading taken after several days of testing was below 1 pCi/L, much lower than the EPA's danger point. The system reduced my radon level to one eighth of the level that was present without the system.
Several days later the electrician, Joe Holbert, completed the permanent wiring to the radon blower.
I am totally satisfied, and now feel safe about using the below grade level of my home.
There is a leak in the basement we were concerned with that my husband pointed out and the service provider said to keep an eye on it. He told my husband that their company did not do that type of service and that we would need to call another company. We purchase this deal with the understanding that this company would be able to help us as the wording in their ad said they would do a "water leakage inspection" and provide a "complete correction plan offering an all-inclusive repair price".
This was our first Big Deal purchase with Angie's List and this service provider did not come through with his advertised deal.
"I did indeed visit the (members name removed) residence at the scheduled time. Upon arrival I met with (members name removed) as (members name removed) was not at the home. (members name removed) was very kind to show me the area of concern in their finished basement. I observed a small water stain on the sheetrock and baseboard in the finished area of the basement. Upon further inspection and observations of the sheetrock along the front wall there were no other areas of concern found to be leaking. I asked if there was a downspout on the front of the home in the approximate area of the leak and he indicated there was indeed a downspout located there. We proceed to the front exterior of the home and located the downspout adjacent to the approximate area of the leakage stain in the basement. I indicated to him, by placing a hose in the downspout and running water in the downspout then taking a shovel and digging down to uncover the connection with the downspout that the chances were very good that the leak would be discovered. I also indicated that we do not do this type of work from the outside when it relates to the gutters and downspouts, typically the homeowner would do this investigative work and save money, however, he asked if I knew of a company that he could hire to do this work and I gave him a reference that he could contact. I have done this in the past and our members have been very appreciative and happy with this company that specializes in this type of work. I did not proceed any further with drawings, elevations or a comprehensive layout for what our work would entail as this was a very minor repair that may cost $100.00 to $200.00. (members name removed) was very appreciative and thanked me several times before I left his home. Basement & Radon Solutions is a waterproofing company that corrects water problems in homes, we guarantee and warranty our work for the life of the structure, however, we do not charge our customers thousands of dollars to fix a problem when the issue can conceivably be corrected with a couple of hundred dollars. I apologize for the confusion with regards to this member. We understand how water affects homes and certainly know how to correct any dampness or major water intrusion issue, however, we specialize only with interior basement/crawlspace waterproofing and dehumidification."
