Bob Ruhe of Alliance Electrical is the electrician I've been looking for ever since moving to Hendersonville 10 years ago! All the work he did for me was of the highest quality ... job done right, efficiently, and at a most affordable (meaning fair) price. He is - without question - the most highly skilled electrician I've ever dealt with. Bob values his customers ... and shows it. He makes it very clear
that he isn't satisfied - unless you are. In addition, he phones ahead of time to let you know when he is coming ... a rare courtesy.

Bob and his partner worked very efficiently and did a tremendous amount of work in one day. I hired Alliance twice, one complete day each time. They worked non-stop all day. I bought a home in the Lake Lure area and the wiring had some problems and we needed to upgrade the lighting in the house. We also wanted to add some in-wall speakers and ceiling fans and Alliance did all of those jobs very well. I would recommend Alliance to anyone. Great job, no complaints and great value for your dollar.

Alliance was the very competitive in their pricing. Bob Ruhe (the owner) scheduled the appointment for Saturday morning at 8 am and he was right one time. He wanted to change his shoes before walking on my carpet to do the walk thru which I thought was very considerate. I explained all I needed to have done and left him to do the work. When he needed to add the support, he informed me. He was so polite and I felt very comfortable with him in my home. He did a walk thru with me when everything was complete, letting me know what bulbs to get and a few other pointers. I noticed how neat everything was when we walked thru, no mess what so ever.
Bob completed the work by 10:30. He just kept moving it along. I couldn't believe how fast it all got completed! I will definitely use Alliance Electrical Services for all my electrical needs. Not just because they are competitive and his quote was on the money, but because the quality of work and professionalism was superb.

Alliance was lower than one and comparable to another estimate to upgrade my existing 60 amp electrical service to 200 amps.

The owner and his assistant did a first-rate job. They explained the work in advance, arrived on time, worked quickly, and were meticulous in performing their tasks.

Will definitely hire again.

Bob showed up at the appointed time to look over the job and give an estimate. Once the job was scheduled I was impressed that he arrived on time at 8:00am on a snowy morning morning at our ridge-top home. The work was done professionally and he handled a couple add-on items that I requested. It could not have been better.

I purchased a new home that needed some electrical work done. I searched on angie's list for an electrician, and I kept coming back to Alliance because the other reviews mentioned not just the quality of his work but also his great personality. Because relationships matter as much as quality of the electrical work, I gave that a lot of weight and ended up having him come out to bid on the work. His bid was also very reasonable, and I gave him the work. Overall it went very well. He is conscientious, courteous, friendly, helpful, and goes above and beyond and does excellent quality work. I can't imagine using anyone else.

Bob Ruhe is the owner of the company. He gave me a discount of 10% because of Angie's List. He was very professional. Even though, he was heavily booked with jobs, he made the initial call and tried to make the initial fix on the outside lighting area. He found the problem eventually and did not charge me for the initial exploration and the use of time. I was really impressed with him and his honesty. I had previously received an estimate for installing a receptacle. The previous quote was a lot higher than what he finally charged me for the receptacle replacement. He told me what each job was going to cost me with the exception of the outside light because he could not estimate the hours on that until he got to the problems. I thought his cost was very reasonable for all the jobs that he had done.

Bob and Ryan are punctual, efficient, professional and courteous. They call ahead and arrange the time, plus make a call the day before to reconfirm. They have all the ladders and parts for almost everything, unless of course my job required some special piece, like a trim piece that would match existing switch plate covers.

We discussed future wiring changes and possibilities. I like that because it gives me an opportunity to budget my time and plan my activities in advance of a job. Also gives them an idea of what manpower, tools, time my job would likely require for their own day's scheduling. I appreciate their great patience and respect for me and my goal to create a and quot;Dark Skyand quot; space.

Also, one ceiling fan I had them change had not originally been installed according to code, and Bob remedied that with the proper material he already had on his truck. I asked for a minor modification - the fixture box would be slightly visible if he installed it until I asked for him to wrap some electrical tape around it to make it blend into the new fan's cover plate. He cheerfully complied with my request, even though he had to climb down and back up the ladder once again.

The job went very well. Bob Ruhe and the other Alliance electricians are personable, knowledgeable and easy to work with. In addition to all that was done, almost as important was what wasn't done. We had ordered a fixture to go over our kitchen island and Bob was to remove the old track light, move the wiring and box and hang the new fixture. But we were unsure if the new fixture might be too large for the space, aesthetically not physically. Bob and the other electrician patiently held up the new fixture and discussed the problem with us. When we decided to return the new lights, he agreed that was the better decision and repacked the fixture in its shipping box. All that took about 40 minutes, I'd guess, and he didn't charge us for any of that. All the other work was done neatly, trash taken out and cleaned up. I thought the price for the work actually done was reasonable. Bob had previously visited and provided a proposal for all the tasks and several others and we had notified him of what we actually wanted to do. We scheduled the job over the phone, Bob and the other electrician showed up on time and got everything done very efficiently.

Bob was a pleasure to work with. His estimate came back the highest out of the 3 estimates I got it was because he was the only one who quoted installing dedicated circuits for the kitchen and bathroom and one for all the music equipment and electronics. When I called to ask him about why this was needed he easily explained certain codes and safety features in a manner that was understandable. He was also the only electrician that showed up with a voltage tester when coming to do an estimate. His estimate was itemized and easy to understand. After booking the job, he showed up on time and we felt so comfortable with him that we let him work alone in the house while we were both away at our jobs. When I came back everything was installed properly and all the areas he had worked in were cleaned up and he carefully left all the fixtures he removed for us in a row in the living room. He was accommodating to some last minute changes we wanted to make and even called in the middle of some work when he noticed that installing the vanity light we had chosen in the location of the current fixture would prevent the medicine door cabinet from opening. I'm sure not all folks would have the forethought to make sure all the components fit together properly and may have just installed the light and left, leaving us to deal with a frustrating problem. He gave me a couple options on how to fix the issue and it was solved when I arrived. His work was clean and he matched the uncommon dark brown outlets we already had when he installed new ones and apologized for a tiny chip in the wall that was created when replacing one of the outlets. A small dab of paint will fix that no problem, but his attention to detail and respect for our property was appreciated. We will definitely use him again if we have need of other electrical services.

I recently relocated to a new state and purchased a house which had some, shall we say, peculiarities in the wiring and some outlets/lights were not working at all. I called Bob and we set up an appointment for the following week. (He asked if it was an emergency, and, if it was, said he would come sooner). He arrived with Ryan a few minutes early, spoke with my husband and I regarding our list of what we needed accomplished, made a couple of suggestions, and got right to work. If my husband or I asked a question, they replied and talked with us, but always while they continued to work. They did not waste any time that we were being billed for.

Bob and Ryan worked independent of each other when possible to accomplish as much work as possible and worked together when the tasks required two people. Both were nice people, very professional, and knew their stuff. I was amazed at how quickly they traced bad wiring and also how quickly they found out why outlets and lights were not working. I asked them to check both the master bedrooms to see if we could install ceiling fans this coming spring and Bob said they were not rated for that and that new boxes would need to be installed. We hadn't planned that work, but we had them complete that as well since they were here and they did it quickly. They made sure that all items on the list were completed and working and cleaned up after themselves. When Bob wrote up the bill, I didn't even need to remind him about the Angie's discount; it was already included. All in all, I couldn't have been more pleased with the work they did and how they handled themselves. I will definitely use Bob and Ryan again for any electrical needs. They arrived on time as promised. They performed the work professionally and in good time. Both men were congenial and pleasant. The estimates I requested arrived in the mail within a week. I will certainly use their services again.

Bob has been here several times. He was originally recommended by a neighbor when I needed a ceiling fan installed. I was very pleased with his work. A while later my kitchen was remodeled and I discovered my contractor also recommended this electrician to do the electrical required by the remodel. Again, he did a great job. And lastly I had an electrical problem, called him early AM and he came right out. At that time he discovered old problems in the electrical box - spent most of the morning replacing breakers, re-wiring, etc. Bob is very polite, efficient, and very good at what he does. Not a time waster for sure ! Although I had gotten used to a wall switch that never worked correctly (and never even thought to mention it to him) he found the problem himself and promptly fixed it. Many of my neighbors also use Alliance Electrical - he comes highly recommended and has a great reputation for honestly and quality work. I will soon have more work to be done in the family room and will definitely be calling Mr Bob Ruhe.

He was very professional, did a great job, from layout and execution to cleanup, and did everything that he said he would when he said he would do it. I not only would use him/them again, I will be, very soon.

They were here about 15 minutes. Everything went very well. I know I've said this before, but he is such a nice man!! He came in, did the work, scooted out the door and said he'd catch me next time, meaning he wasn't going to charge me for doing this job!! You never see that these days!! I'm a fan!!

Over the last three or four years they have probably been here eight times. They are absolutely fabulous and they show up on time. They are reasonably price. They are immaculate. We have spent tons of thousands of dollars with them. We will use them in the future.

I called him. He came over and installed it. That was that. What a nice man. Very polite.

They were great and had the whole job completed in a day and it was a big job.
