Access Garage Door Service & Repair

The technician arrived on time, gave an estimate for the work and set to the job at hand.  The garage door operates as we wanted.

I would not recommend this company.

Garage door would no longer open with the overhead opener. Motor was running, but nothing else happening. Was given an appointment the next day. Serviceman was prompt, courteous, and had the problem fixed within 15 minutes. Fee for service was about $10 less than estimated on phone. Hopefully I won't need these services for a while, but I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

The Access representative (David) arrived 15 minutes EARLY for the appointment (not a problem!). He looked at the old door and said a spring repair would have to be made, even to do use the old door temporarily. The alternative would be to remove the old door and leave the garage open until the service could be performed. We told David we all had to be away from the house at the same time and really didn't want to leave the garage open to the elements and possible theft of the contents. We also needed to get our other vehicle out of the garage to use for scheduled critical medical appointments and to provide transportation for our granddaughter to class and to work. David said he would see what he could do. A couple of phone calls later, we had an installation appointment for the new door set for later that afternoon. In order to do that, the company had to make a special trip to their warehouse to get the door, rather than waiting for their normal delivery. A couple of hours later, the installer (Alex) arrived. He was extremely professional and completed installing the new door in about three hours. I watched Alex off and on, during the various phases of installation. His careful assembly and attention to details, particularly during the final door and opener adjustments, was commendable. Before Alex left, he thoroughly cleaned up the area. And, even though it probably was past his normal working hours at that point, he spent time with us to explain the door operation and safety mechanisms. He also helped us program the opener for use with the key pad and our vehicles. These days, you would have to look long and hard to find a company that would provide the level of professionalism and customer service we experienced with Access.
