Jack Hungerford and his son Jay have already helped me with several projects. I was given their name by our local small-town hardware store. They recently replaced my old kitchen faucet-- came the same day I called them and had new faucet installed and working like a charm within hours. In the summer of 2013, Jack & Jay came for an emergency plumbing problem I had in my crawl space-- they removed an old whole-house water filter and installed a new one, adding a wood bracket for support,, extra shut-off valves and put up some more lights in the crawl space. Most recently, I called on Saturday morning and they came to house to check out my old and cranky hot water heater. Once they looked at its age (20+ years), they suggested I replace it with a newer efficient one rather than spending money on repairs to the old one. Two days later, on Monday afternoon, I had a brand new hot water heater with electrical installation now up to code (the old one had cables running right thru the drywall). As usual, they worked great as a team, professional and polite and respectful of their surroundings in the house. They completely clean up all the mess and remove any trash, old appliances etc. Jack and Jay provide more than just great home improvement work and handyman services-- they provide something far more valuable-- peace of mind!
