I was ripped off by this contractor. He started the project late since he could not buy supplies for the job. I loaned him $3000 of my own money to get the project started. He still have $1800 of mine, and I have demanded my money back several times. He does not have a license and is a criminal. The work that he did was great, but did not finish the job completely.

He did great work and is conscientious about the work that he does. He offers reasonable prices. His crew is hard working as well. He is great to get along with and very trustworthy.

He may or may not be a good craftsman. Don't know because his failure to follow up several times in the planning process set off the alarm bells. He may have a business, but he is not a business man. Final straw was when we agreed to begin bathroom remodeling the week after Thanksgiving. Upon return, he said he couldn't get to it until next week (which is today). We agreed that he would call at the end of last week (yesterday, Sunday). No call. I called, got voicemail and requested a call back. No call. Today was supposed to be the start of construction. Still haven't heard, and at this point, doesn't matter...looking for another contractor. Please note that, in this little beach community, work is pretty tough to come by. I didn't haggle on price, and told him my plans to do the other bathroom, install wood floors and re-do the kitchen, so this was a large (and all indoor) job.
