Lawn Impressions

I originally hired the firm in 2015 and was pleased with their service. Renewed for 2016 and was very disappointed. First they kept changing the schedule, so the lawn was getting mowed basically every three weeks instead of every two. Then once they settled on a schedule, they neglected to come. I emailed the owner and was told it had been decided my lawn didn't need mowed that week (even though my backyard was turning into a jungle). The attention to detail the original crew in 2015 used was also gone. I'm looking for a new service this year.

Josh and Elyse are always concerned with the job they do and have helped us immensely in getting our front yard looking great.

Their service is very shoddy. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not and I have to email the owner pretty frequently.

They trimmed the bushes fine but the lawn. It was a rainy summer but the grass still needs to be cut. They used a big riding mower on my small front yard, crushing the grass and leaving tracker marks. Now I do not suspect it was management that did this. I suspect that it was one of the C/D students that he hired. It really was a case of just not thinking.

The improvement in our yard is amazing! We had so many weeds and bare spots. They have gotten the lawn looking very nice. We will continue their service due to our experience with them. Josh is very personable and knowledgeable.

Decided to turn our unusable, heavily sloped backyard into a usable area for our children to play in. Brought in four different lawn/hardscape contractors for estimates on our project, the bulk of which involved bringing in a large amount of dirt fill and installation of a large retaining wall covering about 720 sq feet of space. Josh and Elise, the owners of Lawn Impressions, came in with the lowest priced quote, beating a previous contractor who had done lawn work for us in the past by a few thousand dollars. Given their competitive quote, as well as their friendly, professional demeanor and professional advice upon meeting us, we decided to go with them for our project. We also liked the fact that they didn't oversell. They were willing to do whatever we wanted, but gave us excellent advice on which of our design decisions would add significant costs to the project (taking down additional trees, moving the wall back further on our property, etc).
Being a smaller company, Josh told us that it would probably take about 2 weeks from the time we signed our contract to get our work started, and that the actual project would take about 2-3 weeks. Well, they beat their time estimate handily! They were out to our house within 2 days to begin work, fitting us in with their numerous other projects as time allowed. In total, the project wound up being completed in under 2 weeks, which was a welcome surprise. The work was top notch, and Josh and Elise were very receptive to my questions and comments along the way. The crew was often on our property for 12 hour days, and were always polite, professional, and clean. They did everything from regrading the yard with our yard with the additional dirt, extending the downspouts in the back of the house to drain out away from the retaining wall, repositioning and addition of sprinkler heads, and reseeding/straw. The only thing they didn't install themselves was our aluminum fence, but Josh recommended a quality fence contractor that he has worked with in the past, got us a very good price on the fence, and scheduled the installation work for us.
Overall, this was a true turn-key operation, and Josh, Elise, and the Lawn impressions crew did a fantastic job! We are very pleased with their work and our new backyard. They are great to work with, finished the work ahead of schedule, and came within about $1000 of their original estimate (some additional materials were needed due to my decision to push the wall back a few feet from our initial walkthrough, and Josh only charged me for materials for the overage... very fair). A great experience for us, and we highly recommend them and will definitely use Lawn Impressions again for future outdoor projects!
As a side note, we are also using Lawn Impressions currently for lawn maintenance services as well (weekly mowing, weeding, and blowing, as well as a fertilization/pruning schedule). Once again, their work is excellent, and their price couldn't be beat by any other lawn contractors that we contacted. The crew is always on schedule for our weekly visit, and you can even see Josh and Elise coming around on off days to make sure that everything is looking good. We highly recommend them for this type of maintenance service as well. Just a great company to deal with!
