Great job! Mike and his crew got rid of the mold and replaced the insulation. They also sealed up the crawlspace and installed a dehumidifier. No one wants to advertise to their neighbors about potential mold issues, so I appreciate the workers arriving in vehicles without logos. I hope I don't need them again, but if I do, I'll be sure to call.

Mike was prompt with communications throughout the process, answered all our questions and gave detailed explanations of what was going to be done from testing to remediation, and he provided a detailed and accurate estimate of the cost. His employees were very thorough, competent, and respectful of our property. Mike even gave suggestions as to how we could do some preparation ourselves in order to save money. Mike has been my crawlspace inspector for at least 10 years to keep everything dry.

We had an issue with the AC unit in our crawl which caused a mold condition. Mold spores were circulating throughout or home unbeknownst to us at the time. The condition was found after an extensive search given that our daughter experienced sever symptoms that no other family member experienced. Our daughter was diagnosed with a CIRS condition which made her more prone to mold amounts that others would not normally be sensitive to. We had 2 contractors replace our AC unit and crawl ducts followed by a full encapsulation. We then requested 4 quotes to remediate the dead spores from our 2 level home. The quotes were all over the place with one being opportunistically high given our location and daughters condition. Mold Hunter provided a fair quote and we went with their services. Job took a few weeks to schedule. The crew arrived promptly on the appointment day. The job took 3 days to complete with large scrubbers running 24/7. Air testing was performed which indicated a positive outcome. When we reintroduced our daughter to the home she felt sensitivity to the in home environment. We called the owner of Mold Hunter Mike Smith, who came to our home and spent an hour reviewing our situation to better understanding our daughters sensitivities. Mike offered to bring back a crew and add a protocol for remediation that was suggested by my daughters health provider. It was at no additional expense to us. The additional protocol was recommended after the initial remediation and only after our daughters symptoms were still present. This was above and beyond what we originally contracted the Mold Hunter to provide. Mikes crew spend another 2 days in our home operating under the medical protocol. We had the home tested 3 weeks later ( allowing for a dust build up) and have now succeeded in greatly reducing our daughters symptoms. Mike was sensitive to our very unique situation and took the time to get us to an acceptable level that 99% of average remediation customers would not require. He's an honest business man with integrity. A trait that has all but vanished, most especially in the field of remediation where medical concerns can signal margin opportunity.

It went great! No mold was found, thank goodness! Mike checked several spots that I was concerned about and eased my mind. He did however, find areas of poor insulation and helped me understand what I could do to fix it. Great help!

During our 2017 annual dehumidifier service appointment, The Mold Hunter, Inc. found the equipment not to be working properly. I then began the process of pursuing a warrantied repair by shipping our Horizon dehumidifier back to the manufacturer, Air Cleaning Equipment, Inc, of Sanford, NC. After 7 1/2 months of not only supporting my efforts, but intervening directly on my behalf, Mike Smith did what Air Cleaning Equipment, Inc. would not do - he stood behind his work and the equipment he installed, and replaced the unit with a product from another manufacturer. Mike Smith is a business owner and individual of exceptional character. I highly recommend his company, The Mold Hunter, Inc. to anyone needing water restoration or mold remediation.

The lead Tech showed up on time and I had a full report with detailed estimate in a very timely manner given the situation. Very Professional, knowledgeable, and competitively priced! Mike and his team were very professional and responded to our request right away. They were able to come take swab samples and we had results within two business days. Luckily for me there was no need for remediation in this case.
