The service and charge for oil change/maintenance items were appropriate. Regarding the horn issue, I was quoted an estimate of $175.00 to provide a functional horn for a GM car more than 5 years old. The horn part itself was to cost over $100, and I was told that a generic horn would not be compatible with the amperage of my car. I researched the explanation I was given but was unable to confirm it with other sources. I did pay the cost of the horn diagnostics (~$30). I called two other service providers who believed I was being overcharged. I ended up going to Auto Zone, purchasing a horn set and accessories for $40.00, and replaced it myself. I have used this service provider previously, and they are respectful, professional, and courteous.

"Diagnostic charge was only $19.99. In order to provide the warranty which is standard for all work performed at Hampstead Auto Center OEM equivalent parts are used which have a higher cost than non OEM parts."
