Excellent. They were on time. Very professional. They even moved an old water heater we had in the attic and hauled it away for free.

It was fine. We had a little mixup in communication because I was coming from another town to meet the technician, but they remedied that. Friendly and good service.

Our air conditioning went out late at night during the Labor Day weekend. We called several companies that were listed on Angie's List, planning on using the first one to call back. Comfort Master uses an answering service, which I felt expedited things, and the technician called back within 5 minutes. He said he would be here in about 30 minutes. It was a little later than that, but only a few minutes. He figured out that a couple of wires were broken and quickly repaired them. Before he left, he checked the refrigerant. He also noticed that the end of the drain was elevated, which could prevent it from draining properly, and fixed the drain. This might not sound like much, but we have had this unit serviced several times before by other companies and they did not notice this as an issue or try to fix it.

On one of the coldest days in Greenville, I turned on the heat and it only blew out cool air.  I immediately logged on to Angie's list to find a heating service.  The staff at ComfortMaster Mechanical was very friendly and to my amazement,  they send out a technician that very day.  The technician, Coco (not sure if I spelled it correctly), came out and was quickly able to figure out the problem and repair it.  He thawed out the water line and then allowed it to drain.  He also went under our home and looked at our pipes.  He recommended that we purchase a winterization kit for our pipes which should prevent the issue from repeating.  He was very professional and knowledgeable.  I highly recommend ComfortMaster Mechanical to everyone.

Comfort Master is Honest and Dependable! Received several quotations by five HVAC providers. Quoted price was fair, explanations and options were professionally assessed. (Was already contracting maintenance with another vendor). There is no doubt that we picked the best company for the work we needed. We will use Comfort Master for years to come!

Service was great!!!  He installed the part and checked al was working correctly.  He suggested we  get carbon monoxide detector  and showed where we should place it.  He also suggested when running fireplace to turn ceiling fan on low to circulate the heat. The provider was really a pleasant person to talk to and very knowledgeable in his field.   Thank you so much.

No real trouble shooting involved I'm familiar with the troubleshooting and determined the remedy myself, the tech agreed and charged 2lbs of r22 refrigerant for $235.00 not bad i guess $80 a lb for refrigerant and $75 just to come out to the house.... a surcharge just to come out is the norm, should be added into any services provided and only charged $75 if no service is provided and troubleshooting was done...

They did a good job. Actually, the guy who came for work did a very good job, he laid great emphasis on safety, which I think is a good sign. We do have a carbon monoxide detector, they inspected that and approved it for its good condition from all aspects. I think they are very safety conscious and responsible and that is a good thing for a company like that. We did not have any problems with them during the work.

I called the company and asked for a quote.  The sales person was punctual, polite and professional.  We discussed the work to be done and the different systems available.  The next day he provided a quote for both systems I selected.  I chose the higher-efficiency unit and a date was established to install the unit.  (My unit was still working, so it was not an emergency.)  They arrived punctually on the date promised and started the work.  The workers were very careful about keeping the house clean, even wearing covers on their shoes when they came in the house.  They were careful not to damage the walls or doorways, etc. in getting the old unit out and the new unit in.  They did an outstanding installation, very careful and neat in appearance.  I highly recommend this company.

Our AC unit in home began blowing warm air instead of cool.  I called ComfortMaster and they sent a technician within four hours of my call.  The technician was knowledgeable and professional.  He diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly.  He also noticed that the fan on AC unit was blowing in the wrong direction and fixed that too.  This was the second time I have used ComfortMaster and I am very pleased with their attention to detail, their knowledge and professionalism.

The overall experience with Comfortmaster Mechanical was very positive.  The initial call to them was because of upstairs HVAC not working properly.  Temps 80 and above.  Technician arrived and as soon as he was inside the door he put on shoe covers....NICE!.  He immediately asked where the air handler unit was which was in the attic and I showed him the unit.  He spent 20-30 minutes checking the unit and asked me to join him.  He showed me the problem, major ice buildup on the condenser coils and vapor leaking from one or more of the copper knuckles letting Freon leak out.
He indicated that no point in charging more Freon since it would just leak out and not solve the problem.  Condenser replacement was posed as the solution....cost ~$1000 and would take several days to get the unit and install.
Other option was to replace the entire heat pump with new unit with 15+ SEER and 8.5+ HSPF rating to get tax credit.
I discussed heat pump vendor choices with the company owner and got 3 choices.  I chose the one with best warranty, maintenance track record and the tax credit.  The current heat pump was 9+ years old and the technician advised that the return air vent area was not large enough for even that unit....so the return air vent had to be enlarged to 1.75X the old area.
The heat pump was ordered but because of the Memorial Day Holiday could not be delivered across the long weekend so it was endure the heat for a couple extra days.  The installation started by 0900 and all technicians involved wore shoe covers in the house and paid  close attention to not damaging anything.  Plastic sheeting was placed on stairs, entry foyer and on the floor in the upstairs hallway to catch any debris during the replacement and vent enlargement.  The old upstairs heat pump had a much nicer programmable thermostat than the downstairs unit and I asked if they could swap out the thermostats...which they were able to do at no additional charge.  Installation and checkout took most of the rest of the day but by 7 pm the upstairs was in cooling mode.  The lead technician provided a walkthru of the thermostat programming and advised that a code inspector would have to OK the installation.  This was the 1st time that I'd heard that this was required because it had not been done by any of the vendors who installed heat pumps  in both up and downstairs.

They cleaned up everything and hauled away...replaced the landscaping around the pedestal that the new outside unit had to sit on and tested the condensate outfall line to make sure it was completely open and functioning.

The replacement unit was more expensive than I'd intended to spend but think, in the end, it will be worth it.  I will use this company from now on for my routine heat pump checks and highly recommend them for their technical knowledge and professionalism.

These guys are true professionals. At the risk of sounding too "over the top", these guys not only performed the installation in a professional manner, but when they realized they had made a minor error, they brought it to my attention and fixed it. These guys value their reputation and their employees perform quality work. No one is perfect, but a company that will "own up" to a mistake that costs them money to fix is one that I trust.
