When the sales person arrived on the appointed day, he produced a file with copies of everything Clegg's has done on our property over the years. There is a dehumidifier in a crawlspace that was installed a couple years back, and he informed us that we can choose to continue regular maintenance on the dehumidifier, thereby retaining the warranty.
He explained to us in detail what types of bugs can be expected here, and why. He also gave us tips on how to keep the bugs out of the house. Coming from a climate with very little humidity and four full seasons, we were surprised to learn about so-called water bugs and the like. Clearly some sort of regular treatment would be necessary, so we agreed that it would be a good idea to have a tech come out to spray. Our biggest concerns were the safety and health of our dogs, who had come in from the back yard a few times with ticks on them. We had lots of questions about the safety of the pesticide as well. Everything was explained, and they even offered to bring copies of the labels so we could research any of the chemicals that we were leery of.
When the treatment tech came for the appointment, he had a STACK of papers with him. He didn't just bring the label, he brought all of the information he had on that particular product, which I really appreciated. I watched him spray the ENTIRE yard. It is a full acre, so it took him a pretty long time, but he did not cut corners. He sprayed as far up on the exterior of our house as he could, and assured me that if I keep the trees trimmed, I wouldn't have any problems with bugs coming in the house from the second floor. The tech also gave lots of advice about how to make sure on that day of treatment, my dogs don't go outside for several hours. He had already cautioned me on the phone when he called to reaffirm our appointment on the day prior, so I was prepared and put them out right before he was scheduled.
Up until this point, I have dealt with three employees of Clegg's: Sales, Office support, and Technician. Every conversation I have had both over the phone and in person was conducted with professionalism and efficiency. The two employees who came to my house were helpful and personable. They were excellent representatives of Clegg's, and if this is the type of service one can expect from Clegg's, we will be customers indefinitely. I can't emphasize how nice it was that this company knows what our house needs, and that they gave us all the information they had about our house. There weren't any high pressure sales tactics, which we really appreciated, and frankly, we have not compared them to other providers yet. Maybe there are some less expensive places out there, but I find that right now I'm happy that we decided to maintain service with Clegg's. If that changes, I will absolutely post another review or revise this one.
After having the treatment, we have not seen any more bugs on our dogs when they come in from playing in the yard, and we are also happy knowing that the product used is safe for them.
