The estimate was presented, and I'm waiting for the third and final estimate to arrive tomorrow before I make a decision. Jim is certainly in the running.

I've had renovation work done before but never to this extent. I didn't know what to expect and Jim and Andy did everything they could to prepare me for it but nothing could have done that other than the experience itself. It's a very old house and there were unexpected problems (the problems were not unexpected to Andy and Jim - they told me that problems were likely but I chose to ignore that). There were plumbing problems, electrical problems, and ductwork problems that they had to correct before they could start to rebuild the kitchen. They brought me samples for the cabinets and the floors and worked me with deciding what would be suitable based on what I described to them that I wanted. They consulted with me each step of the way as to what they would be doing, what they needed from me (i.e., to show up to pick colors, materials, etc.). The completed project is terrific - beyond what I expected it would be and a lot of that is due to their advising me as to materials, colors, etc.
