Fixed problem with simple repair, without trying to sell an expensive replacement unit like another previous service provider. My unit is old, so when it does go out I know who to go to and will feel like I'm not being taken advantage of.

Awesome. Diagnosed the problem as the "sequencer" which he had replacement in the van. Part replaced quickly and system working again in short order. He thoroughly checked all parts of the system and advised me that in spite of it being an old system, it still was solid and probably had a few more seasons of service still in it. It may be some time before I need a replacement system but when I do, I know who I will call.

Great! No complaints. Will use Chris again when we have to replace upstairs unit.

We got Chris's name (the owner) from someone I know at work. We called him on Labor Day and he returned our call that evening. He came out the next day, Tuesday, and took a look at our old system and furnace and left us with a HIGHLY reasonable quote (I think he gave us such  a good deal because of the referral). After comparing his prices and products with two other companies (both whom we found on Angies list) we chose to go with Taylor-Made. He came with a personal recommendations and, unlike the two other companies, he was not only the owner but the person who would be doing the installation- not some random technician. He actually re-arranged another appointment so that he could install our unit that Friday (which was nice, because we had been without AC for 8 days and it was still over 80 degrees outside!) He and his helper showed up exactly when he said they would, and got to work immediately. The old furnace parts didn't fit down the attic stairs so they had to take it apart to get it out, and they had to take apart the new unit to get it into the attic. They did both as quietly as possible, since my 9 month old was napping in the room below the attic. They also re-hung a drooping segment of ductwork at no extra-fee. After making a comment about how it's always warm in the master bedroom, they set the dampers to maximize the AC upstairs, and gave me a tutorial on how to properly use the rest of the dampers on the ductwork in the attic.

They cleaned up as they went and left NO mess. There was also an issue about payment that came up (I was not able to get our payment from the bank in time), but Chris worked with us on it and we came to a solution that worked well for both of us. Chris was very easy to work with and honest about everything. I highly recommend Taylor-Made.
