Our roof was damaged by hail during an early summer storm. We obtained an insurance estimate, received a preliminary settlement check, and then began to solicit bids for the work. 5 different companies came to our home and bid on the project. Only R.L. Leonard, Inc. was willing to give me an actual estimate. The remaining 4 were all more interested in getting the maximum amount of money from the insurance companies. Over and over again I heard and quot;well do it for whatever the insurance company will give you.and quot; They were prepared to take my settlement and then go back to the company for the adjustment amount they could get.
Robert came to my home, gave me an honest estimate, discouraged me from getting more expensive shingles, and agreed to do some gutter work as well. As it turned out Roberts estimate was exactly what the insurance company agreed to settle my claim for.
When we went ahead with the work his crew came on time, worked efficiently, and kept the job site very clean during the initial tear off and subsequent replacement. They went the extra mile to insure my home remained dry when the project was delayed by rain.
When the weather finally broke they returned and finished the job in an efficient manner. Robert then came by to see me to confirm that I was happy with the work, which I was.
