OLD MASTER CABINET COMPANY

Old Master Cabinets is a terrific company.  I felt very comfortable with them from the start.  They've been in business a long time and are experts.  I provided the dimensions for each door, and with just a few questions and clarifications they gave me an estimate, an estimated completion date, and I authorized the work.  The doors are simply beautiful in every way and a total enhancement for our kitchen.  Color and style were exactly as we expected, and the cabinets have a rich deep appearance that is comparable to cherry even though they're only maple.  It's a total transformation and improvement over the cheaper builder-grade maple cabinet doors that we had.  I did go back to them and ask that they move the hinges on the lazy susan door because it bumped into the lower shelf.  This was entirely my fault; there was no way they would have known where that shelf was.  Even so, they were happy to respond to my request and did so promptly.  I took the door down the next day, and they did a great job refilling the holes and moving the hinges upward right there while I waited just a short time.  This was, all in all, the best possible outcome and experience for this type of work.  I had also priced new cabinet doors from several on-line companies but felt that we needed to talk to somebody.  We ordered some for another house on-line once before, and there were some some problems major errors in the dimensions.  The prices from Old Master, however, were almost identical, or maybe even less than going on-line for this. Doing it this way made us feel much more comfortable that it would come out the way we wanted, and we were able to see exact samples from their showroom.  I highly recommend this company.  You can't go wrong.  They get the highest score on all counts from us.

Everything is holding up very well. They were very friendly and concerned about doing a good job. They were thorough and we were pleased with what they did. There were a few little issues but overall they worked very well with us. We didn't compare prices. They were the original providers of the cabinets in our kitchen and they added some things; it was a little extension of the counter and some shelving. The grain of the wood did not match really well to what was there before. They stained it the same color but the grain is a little different. We don't know if it was possible to do better than what they did because the original kitchen was put in 20 years ago but we were a little disappointed. The work they did was good and they were easy to work with. They didn’t get back quite as quickly as we thought they should have. Their punctuality was good and they were here when they said they would be. They were very down to earth country people. They did everything well and they cleaned up after themselves. We would recommend them.

This is a family-run business that has been in business since the 1950's. Joe Mitchell is very personable and will spend as much time with you as it takes to pick out your cabinet finishes and styles. He has a wealth of knowledge. An interior designer is also available if you are unsure of what you want, or are interested in adding some embellishments. They custom-made my cabinets in their shop and delivered them to my house. They do not provide installation, but they did recommend an installer and they coordinated his schedule for me. They also came to my house after installation and provided touch-up and adjustment services. I have used Old Master on several different occasions, and I am always completely satisfied with their work.

The countertop was ready on the stated date. The employees are very conscientious of my needs. Their customer satisfaction is of utmost importance. They did not install the countertops as I had my cabinets installers complete the job. Unfortunately, I do not recall the price but very comparable to other's businesses within my area.
