 + -1 moreJW Heating and Air answered quickly when I called, listened as I described the situation, contacted the tenant to make arrangements, made the repair quickly. They were very professional. They also installed our natural gas stove several years ago, running lines as needed, and it still works very well. They also maintain the two HVAC units at our home. They respond quickly, the work is very good, and they follow up. I highly recommend JW Heating and Air!

 + -1 moreJ W Heating and Air was recommended to me by a friend. I asked for an estimate which they charged me $90 since I was hoping they could repair the old one. In the end they did not charge me since they replaced with a new one. They are easy to deal with and came when they said they would. They said I will have heat by the end of the day and we did. They still had some work and finished the next day. Good price for 15 seer 3 1/2 ton Goodman. They are sending in the warranties for me and will send me any paperwork from the company. Would use this company again and would refer them to others.
Description of Work: My old gas pack stopped working. They checked the old one but we decided to take it out and put in a new Gas Pack for heating and air. They put in a new platform and an easy to change filter.

 + -1 moreTheir service and people are great. Their prices are high. I found a one year old furnace to purchase. But when it came time to install it, it was going to cost over $2,500 to pull out the old one and put in the new one. I was able to find a reputable company that was able to do it for a $1,000. That's too much difference to stay with JW. I'm willing to pay for quality, but there is a limit. They do good work.
Description of Work: JW Heating & Air came out to repair the furnace and found out it had to be replaced. They had put the original system in and had maintained it over the years.

 + -1 moreWe asked for a specific day to start installation and they accommodated us. They arrived as scheduled and did a great job. They ran into a problem with the way the old gas system had been installed and it probably took them two hours longer to take it out than it might have. They took the extra time so as not to mess up anything and there were no extra charges. It caused them to have to make some new duct connections, etc. but they did that with no hassle. We have had cold and warm days since the installation and have been able to use both heating and air conditioning and the simple damper system that they proposed works great to balance the upstairs and downstairs depending on which system is being used and it is easy for me to adjust. The Goodman system is quiet and seems to be very efficient doing a good job for both heat and air. We strong endorse both J and W Heating and Goodman.
Description of Work: J W Heating and Air replaced our old heating and air conditioning system with a new system. We got estimates and evaluated 4 companies that were on Angie's List or that we had gotten personal referrals from friends. We asked all to propose the best price/performance system for our home and to solve the age old problem of the upstairs being cooler in winter and hotter in summer. Three of the four proposed the same manufacturer (Goodman) which agreed with the research I had done on the net saying that Goodman (second largest manufacturer of systems in the world) was the best price/performance/reliability system available and had the best warranty. The quotes of three were pretty close and Sears was just out of the competitive range. J W Heating was the best price and was the one that I thought came up with the best solution for the upstairs and downstairs balance. The others did not propose the solution of easy to adjust dampers but when asked about it said " Oh yeah, we can do that and adjusted their pricing." They had suggested more expensive solutions that involved more hardware and that my research had said can be troublesome. Based on the best price and references from people we knew we selected J W Heating. I strongly suggest that anyone getting a new system do their research on the type of system (we chose heat pump) and the manufacturer before calling installers so you know what they are proposing.

 + -1 moreI have had J W Heating and Air as my contractors for a number of years and they are reliable and reasonably priced and not once have I argued or felt cheated about a service bill from them. I honestly don't recall the price for this last visit. I trust him with my house key if we are not here. Highly recommended as great worker, trustworthy and a very nice man to boot.
