We were supposed to be the recipients of the above referenced order on February 12. Upon arriving home that afternoon (3 PM), we saw a hang tag on our front door as well as one on our garage door stating that a delivery had been attempted at 12:30. The store was listed as Edible Arrangements, 4719-E High Point Rd, Greensboro, NC 27407. The box checked on the tag said: ?Kindly phone us? which was done at 3:15 PM. The person on the phone (unidentified woman) said that since no one was home it was ?your responsibility? to pick this up and it would be held for two days. I asked who sent it and then asked that it be redelivered only to be told that they would not redeliver. The person was brusque and not helpful in arriving at a solution. I informed her that I would not pick it up (especially not a two day old arrangement) and that it should be redelivered. I offered to give windows of time that I would be home to receive it. Again, I was informed that a redelivery was ?not going to happen.? The next evening (after I complained to the main customer service number) the store phoned at 7 PM and said that the arrangement was waiting and that I had to pick it up. My husband expressed his surprise to the woman who called at such lack of service and she said nothing. Just repeated that they would ?hold it.? I telephoned the company's customer service number twice and got very sympathetic reps who could not believe that an Edible Arrangements store refused to redeliver. I asked that they arrange a refund for the sender or that the arrangement be delivered by a different nearby franchise. Nothing happened. I wrote to headquarters and have had no response.
Description of Work: An arrangement was ordered by a relative to be sent to us. Delivery became a problem when no one was home to receive it. Rude customer service and no product was ever received. The sender did not get a refund either.
