Chris Wilson, of Custom Audio & Video Services, was phenomenal. We needed to have a new 65" LG TV mounted in our family room. We had already purchased our mounting bracket, necessary HDMI and Optical cables and installation hardware necessary to hide the wiring behind our sheetrock wall. Chris took the already purchased items and within two hours, working alone, had professionally mounted our television, running wires within the wall, cleaned up, and completed setting up our new equipment. I am so pleased with his work and the cost of the project. Chris was a pleasure to work with and went beyond what I expected in helping us out. I would certainly recommend his services to anyone needing to have a television mounted. He didn't waste any time in completing our project and was very up front about what to expect. I would definitely hire him again should I have similar needs in the future.

Awesome! I felt it was only fair - since I found Chris on Angie's list that I make a review - so others can benefit! Okay, so he had to correct the LAST THREE A/V companies work (yes, I said THREE - we won't go into how much money I have spent total). For example, he got a pair of speakers in my garage that NOT ONE IN THREE COMPANIES tried to fix ---- to work - and flawless! In addition to correcting their mistakes, he made me a beautiful, simple, streamlined A/V component that everyone seeks! See my photo's! We called Chris Wilson because of the excellent reviews he had been given by his clients on Angie's List. They were accurate testimonies. Chris answered my call the first time during the busy Christmas and New Year holidays. Originally, my request was for him to move our very large screen TV and audio equipment from one wall and to install on another. But, after my husband and I met and talked with Chris in our home, we decided to upgrade our system. Chris was phenomenal! He discuss with us what our options were for an area our size. He was very informative and appeared to truly enjoy what his work. He made some excellent recommendations and he was 'in tune' (no pun intended) as to which retailers we might shop for the best deals in a Smart TV. In addition, he told my husband where to shop online for savings on items to better enhance our sound system. Bottom line, we have the most awesome and PERFECTLY installed system. Our entire family has sincerely enjoyed the new 'theather effect'.
Chris supplied all the materials and labor for installation. We found his fee for services very reasonable. He was very fair, honest and knowledgeable regarding equipment and installation. He called ahead to confirm appt's, he was on time and he worked constantly. But, at the same time, he always stopped to address our questions. He was organized and prepared when he began 'training us' how to use our new system's equipment. Since completion of the work, Chris has remained available or and quot;on call' to answer our smallest questions about some feature or function we had forgotten. No problems have occured. We will be hiring Chris, again, very soon for other project. Chris Wilson is highly recommended by our family!!

Chris was very thorough in troubleshooting and explained things in a way we could understand. We were involved in the troubleshooting process and with decisions on how to proceed. We will definitely use him in the future.

I purchased a new 55and quot; Samsung Smart TV from H.H. Gregg. I knew it would be a nightmare for me to install this myself and connect it to my existing Home Theater System. Desperate for quality help, I searched Angie's List for some qualified professionals in my area. I sent an e-mail to Custom Audio and Video Services on a Sunday Night at 7:50 pm. I was absolutely shocked that within 10 minutes of sending this email that the owner, Chris called me to see how he could be of assistance. I explained to him that I had purchased this TV and had just and quot;hooked it up to cableand quot; but needed the entire system connected. He was very nice and asked about my current system and walked me through a couple of steps over the phone at that moment that greatly optimized my picture quality until he could come to our home for a free assessment.
Chris made the appointment for us on Tuesday, called me 30 minutes before he arrived, as he said he would, arrived on time and immediately began assessing our situation. After about 15 minutes of him interviewing me and finding out all of and quot;MYand quot; interests and desires for our theater system, he offered suggestions on how to achieve what we wanted. I needed to order a couple of newer pieces of equipment to replace the antiquated pieces that we had. Instead of Chris selling me these at a markup, he wrote down exactly what I needed and encouraged me to purchase them on Amazon. Obviously this saved me lots of money and I greatly appreciated it.
Once the new equipment came in, I called Chris and he set up an appointment for the next day to install everything that we had discussed. Once again he called me 30 minutes prior to his arrival as he said he would, and showed up ready to work. He removed several pieces of old, outdated equipment, provide carpentry modifications to our Built-In cabinets, and installed the system exactly as he said he would. One of the best things for my wife and me, not being the tech savvy geek types, Chris very
S-L-O-W-L-Y and in very S-I-M-P-L-E language explained how to use all of the components. We asked several questions and he answered all of them with extreme clarity and patience. This was the most important thing for us because what good is all of this technology if you don't know how to use it. Knowing that we would have questions in the future, Chris gave us all of his contact info, including his cell phone and encouraged us to call should we have any problems.

I can't say enough positive about our experience. I highly recommend this company because Chris can do EXCATLY WHAT he says he can do, and will do it EXCATLY WHEN he says he will. I will certainly use Custom Audio and Video Services for other needs when have both here at my home and at my office.

I called Carolina Custom Sound for a quote first simply because they are 1st on the list of companies to provide this service. A gentleman by the name of Bart came to my home on a Wednesday making notes of what I wanted done. As he stood in my living room looking at the wall that the tv was to be mounted on he said and quot;oh this is simple, it will be an easy joband quot;. I was pleased to hear this assuming a simple / easy job would not be too terribly costly. He asked for my email address to send the quote by Friday. The next day (Thurs) I got a phone call from Bart stating he had already sent the quote to my email which pleased me since it was earlier than he had promised -- until I looked at the quote which was for $686.00. To put the tv on the wall was going to cost me as much as the tv! I couldn't believe this. I called Bart asking about some of the itemized charges such as $100.00 for a new wall outlet. He declared that was a resonable charge and must be done because of code. I then questioned the $175.00 in charges for new wires. He stated that was just in case they needed to supply new wires, any new wires they did not supply I would of course not be charged for. I thought surely these wires must be made of gold. The cost of mounting the tv on the wall and running the wires thru the wall was $325.00 so I asked Bart what would the charge be to simply mount the tv without running the wires thru the wall and to my surprise it was still $325.00 --- less work, same price. This is when I decided to call Custom Audio and Video Services for another quote and thank goodness I did! Chris Wilson came to my home, gave a quote on the spot of $150.00 to do everything I wanted (no less than I had asked of Carolina Custom Sound). He told me if he needed any additional wires the name of the store he would buy them and the prices of the wires, which averaged around $10.00 ea depending on the wires needed. There was no mention of any additional charge for a new outlet. Chris Wilson came to my home on time and went straight to work. He cleaned up after he finished working and left no mess behind. He was polite and friendly. The total charge for the completed job was $175.00. The moral to this story... If you have money to burn, waste or just throw away call someone other than Custom Audio and Video Services but if you want the job done right at a fair reasonable price Chris Wilson is your man.
