Crown Volvo

Just talking about buy the car, and trying out cars. 

They are friendly and nice. Very cordial and they tell you upfront ans straight. They listen to what you want, what you need and what you want. They give you suggestions, and just very good to deal with. 

I would not go near Crown Volvo before, but they are very very nice, obliging, kind. It was overall a good experience. The experience from the time before that was a good experience. When we went back and found out that Crown owned it we thought we would give it a try. We went in and it was a good experience. They were nice and helpful. I told them the one I wanted and they give me exactly the one I wanted. It was a good experience.

My experience was very good overall. They were very professional and the service was good. They did what they said they would do. Their price was good; I paid the price I wanted to pay.

Doug in the service department spoke at length with us regarding a problem we were having with the heating/cooling element on the care (2002 Volvo). He was very attentive and professional in his demeanor. He also provided assistance in allowing us to remedy the problem. We purchased a plastic element from the dealership.

They are great. Whether you have an appointment or not, they are prompt and professional. You can wait there and use their free wi-fi, or get dropped off, or they will run you to work.

They are a very good dealership and I have had no bad experiences with them.

They are very personable and take care of you right away. The service is excellent.

I arrived at Crown Volvo and was greeted by Chris Ray very promptly. we discussed what needed to be and and the time that it would take to perform the services. He was very nice and courteous. I waited while my car was being looked at and enjoyed a nice cup of coffee. They also have cold drinks if you like while you wait. The waiting room is comfortable and clean. It took a little over an hour to perform the services I needed and they even gave me a free car was when it was done. I was very pleased and am always pleased with my visits and Crown Volvo. These guys are very fair and always try to help any way they can.

They have exceptional customer service. They greet me at the door and offer something to drink. They always make me feel welcome like they are glad to see me. I look forward to go there because everybody knows my name including the people that don't do my hair or anything. They are expensive but they are worth it because you get what you pay for. My overall experience with them has been good.

I had just purchased my 1st Volvo from a used car dealer in Winston 12/2/10 and it needed some service work done.The car had been a leased vehicle in WASHINGTON DC.. I bought it with about 36,000 miles on it the balance of warranty did not expire until 50k..or 4 yrs. It was sold from a company in PA.The previous owner was someone who worked for the Pentagon and had small children. How do I know this you may say, because the Flow Used Car dealership on Healy and Strafford Rd In Winston Salem did not detail it or clean it out before they allowed me to take ownership of it..I saw the car on their lot as though it was ready for a new owner, maybe they had washed it on the outside and vacuumed but nothing more. I found an child's book tucked into the passenger right front seat back pocket and an ink pen from the Pentagon on the drivers side door pocket, along with various crumbs, coffee drippings ,ketchup and Mc Donald's food items on backseat. There was a chip in the windshield that the dealership was supposed to repair,but didn't,they just covered it up with some temp sealant and now a yr later the temp sealant has worn off and the chip is a hole an the entire windshield will soon need to be replaced..and guess whose going to have to pay for that.. ME! There was various paint chips and scratch marks as well. I did get them to get thier own hired paint guy to buff out out some of the paint chips and swirl marks So as I noticed some items on the car needed repair, like the tear marks in the carpet under the floor mat of drivers feet..(maybe from high heels) not from me since I don't wear them. and I don't have any small children or grandchildren..One of the weather strip seals around the front doors was mushed and bent over and allowed air to enter. The blower fan would vibrate and make a loud noise at the 3 level, Caliper pin on drivers side front brake was missing..and there was no service records found on the leased vehicle history. The TPS gauge would intermittently come on. That dealership seriously takes advantage of women! So I had such a bad experience @ the dealership I refused to go back for fear they may take more advantage of me. So I went to Crown Volvo and and Rich Paranie the service manager there told me the car needed a required service and since there were no records of any such prior, that left me to getting it done. to the tune of $300.00 When I went back to pick up my car the bill was over $100 higher than what he told me it would be, Mind you I never got a phone call to tell me they had found anything else wrong or the needed to be fixed or that the bill was going to be higher than he stated. Since the the seal was part of the warranted items that repair was free. He did however charge me for the blower motor replacement stating,and quot; well how do we know the windshield hasn't been replaced and the debris got in there that wayand quot;..omg! right .He also said,and quot; the mechanic checked your car over thoroughly and he found a Caliper Spring missing on the left front brake, so he replaced it and quot; So my comment was , 'Well since the mechanice found it and replaced it and no one called me about it ahead of time then let the mechanic pay for it !and quot; Mr.Paranie just laughed and so , and quot;well we knew you'd want your car to be in perfect shapeand quot; He could see I wasn't happy with the bill and when he so called went to his supervisor to talk about it he left me in the TV ROOM..I came back to the bill being lowered by $80.00. I was still furious. They called me at home after a couple of days offering to buy my car as they put it and quot;if the numbers were right of cousreand quot; I said , H*** No,..the service manager then pleaded with me as to keep my business. I was like, and quot;I'm sure you'd like to keep my business so you can continue to soak money outta meand quot; well its not going to happen I won't be backand quot;. We wanted to purchase a used vehicle and were referred to Crown Volvo by a friend. The staff at Crown Volvo were low stress, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They oversaw our car's upholstery upgrade to leather. Everything was done punctually and professionally. We are very happy with our car purchase and the service we received at Crown Volvo.

This company wanted to charge us six thousand to do the work on our Volvo. In comparison, we wound up choosing a non-dealership facility that wound up charging us about seven or eight hundred dollars for the same job. That was a pretty different estimate than what Volvo's dealership would have charged us. We have owned Volvos for a while now and we have bought from this dealership. For sales, they really are great and we have never had a problem with them. For servicing though, they could lower their prices. Volvos can be expensive to maintain if you are looking at using dealerships for repair prices. I will not say I would not use this dealership again for repairs because I do own a car that they specialize in treating, but in general, I would probably tell people to shop around for different pricing on Volvo repairs because some smaller places may charge less than the dealer themselves.
