This company is the answer to those annoying and scary problems that the computer can throw at you -- usually at the most inopportune time.You call them at (336) 545-1011 and arrange a very convenient appointment.
As I mentioned above, there is a $50 consulting fee. I have always found that the expertise Steve Bowie brings finds an answer. I have sought his advice twice. This latest consult diagnosed a computer whose capacitors were blown, indicating a deepseated, and unfixable problem. I needed a new computer. Fortunately, Steve was able to provide that assistance. I had done the new computer thing at a and quot;Big Boxand quot; store. That was a hassle from start to finish. There was no pressure from Computer Troubleshooters for addons and other unwanted items. I had wanted the files from my old harddrive copied. No problem. This is the kind of special service you can't get in the big retail stores.
I have every confidence that Computer Troubleshooters could provide any service required. I was pleasantly surprised that they could provide a custom designed computer for a very reasonable price.

I still don't know what Steve did to my PC, but in the end, I suffered a loss of data and had to replace the hard drive (through another company). Steve took my PC to fix a boot problem, but contacted me 3 hours later saying that my hard drive failed. He said he knew of someone with a clean room who could recover the data. When I asked how this happened, he summed it up to bad luck. He had no explanation and offered two different scenarios of what he did to my PC once he left my residence. I would not recommend this company at all!

"While onsite to set up a computer at their new home, a request was made to install a piece of security software that they had already tried but failed. The big yellow security software failed during the installation and instructions were given to reboot the computer and to try again. The computer would not reboot properly at that point. Every effort was made to resolve the problem and to recovery the data, but too much damage had been done to the computer by the failed software installation. No explanation was acceptable to the end user. Company policy was altered to take the big yellow security software off the list of recommended options as a result."

THEY PICKED UP THE COMPUTER AND TOOK IT WITH THEM. THEY WERE DONE WITH THE COMPUTER IN A VERY TIMELY FASHION. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE PRICE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL.
