COLFAX FURNITURE

Upon unloading the sofa at home, we found a tear near an arm and the electric cord to power the sofa was missing. Also the chair, under normal lighting, appeared very dirty; top of chair, arms, and back of seat were obviously dirty/soiled from sitting in the showroom. We did not notice this in the showroom lights, nor did our salesperson point it out. When we called to report this we received the royal run-around: The customer service dept would supply a cord and perhaps a repair to the tear, but had nothing to do with showroom furniture. The manager finally called us back only to refer us to the customer service dept. No go. We recognized that their sales sheet say (on the back) that WE are responsible for the furniture once we pick it up or have it delivered. That we understand. However, we did think a reputable business would stand behind their stock and make some effort to make things right. NO. We are stuck with a dirty chair which we either chuck or get cleaned ourselves. Sure their prices are good, but................customer service is a joke. Moral: Check your furniture with a magnifying glass and under daylight before you accept it from COLFAX FURNITURE.
