I would not use them again or recommend them to anybody. They didn't do a good job. They had to come back and redo some rooms. They were on time most of the time. I had wall paper in two bathrooms and they put some kind of compound on the walls the compound slid in one bathroom so they had to come back and do that. They ruined one of the wall paper boarders in one of the bedrooms.

It went very well. We had to work around the weather but they did a good job of juggling all of the external factors. Their carpenters, painters and planners did a very professional job!

It was fine. The work was good. The only thing that was disappointing to me was that whoever was supposed to organize the people coming out did not stay in touch with me good but the work itself was great. I had prices and they were ridiculous to the sublime and they were the highest that I could figure out and it was not much higher than somebody that just gave a quick overview and I don't think they were going to do the things they said. It was average.

The representative came and assessed the job in April of 2016,  and gave us the estimate that very day. We scheduled the work date. Everything that was in the contract was fulfilled without a glitch. We were told to go to Sherman Williams to consult with a sales person about the color. Intitailly we wanted a "washed look", but after speaking with the Sherman Williams rep, and later with the team of two painters who were extremely knowledgeable about projecting what the outcomes would be, we decided on Peppercorn, a darkish grey. The team of two painters spent a day carefully pressure washing the brick, taping and prepping, and then putting a tinted primer on the brick. This is why the color will last. Other companies I checked with did not do all of this. On the second day, the work was completed,  and they cleaned up so that everything was pristine. Upon inspection, there was nothing amiss. At the time, I asked how long it would take to paint the other three sides of the house. I was told five or six days.

It should be noted that the remainder of the paint job was done in June of 2016, while I was gone. My husband surprised me. Somehow they managed the feat of doing a six day job in THREE DAYS before I returned. (I was not out of town for a long time, so it had to be done expeditiously without sacrificing quality.) Two men did the washing and prepping, which was substantial, and then a team of four worked the other two days to complete the job and clean up. We have been collecting compliments since then!

Our house is a sixties' vintage one story which  was indistinguishable from the other homes in the neighborhood except for the degree of revolting pumpkin hue that the brick had. The look was consistent with the era, but after having it power washed in hopes of mitigating the orange, we realized that there was only one solution: paint. We knocked on doors, and found a variety of different solutions,  but no one had a painted gray house that was to our liking. CertaPro has advertised with our Greensboro Newcomers Club for years, with all the feedback being positive, so we opted to use them.

Our home now is sleek, modern, and singular. Frankly, we have often found that trying to employ help here was difficult. Transplanted from New York and Florida, we are accustomed to punctual workers, clear communication, and fulfillment of contract (including time, materials,  cost and directives). Often our expectations were not met. I don't consider myself "La Exigente", just someone who expects the kind of work that I would do.

Bryan, the owner, keeps abreast of the jobs, and has even come to see us in person when we had a concern. When does THAT ever happen? I ascribe to the adage that "You get what you pay for." This is certainly the case. I recommended CertaPro to another Newcomer who subsequently had a porch painted, and her experience was the same. She had some unique existing situation with her windows, which no one seemed to be able to rectify, and CertaPro was able to deliver.

The only reason I rated the communication a 4 was because one rep failed to respond to an inquiry about painting the chimney, which we both had overlooked. Bryan, the owner, quickly stepped in to arrange that,  and to inspect the entire job. I am sure the follow up was an oversight, but I thought it fell short of perfect, but it was more a 4.5 out of 5.

Thinking of having your home painted? This is a well managed, reputable company whose work will stand up. I feel that it was a good value.

This is the third time I've used CertaPro. The first two times were smaller jobs, mostly trim work on the exterior. My wife has said, for 5 years, she wanted a change from the brick to an actual color. Our neighborhood is about 85% brick. We'd decided on a color a few weeks back. She headed to FL to see the grand kids, so I decided to surprise her, and called CertaPro.
We haggled a bit over price for a day, then got down to work.

The pressure washer crew arrived on time, and did a good job. The next morning, albeit late, like most painters, the paint crew arrived, and spent most of 6 hours prepping the house by sealing the windows, doing a bit of brush work, covering plants, etc. It then took them about 3 hours to spray, roll over, and touch up the paint. I was very impressed with the work.

There is only one item I must be critical of: Communication between their sales person, Elliot Cole, their "scheduler" Tim Williams, and the customer leaves much room for improvement. I got the feeling it's a transition issue.

We received our two year warranty to cover "touch-ups" or defects in the work.

Bryan will continue to receive my business.

I did quite a bit of research and estimates on different companies and ultimately, I'm very glad that I went with CertaPro. The painters did an excellent job and kept everything clean while working in and around my home. I now have a beautiful freshly painted home to enjoy and I would most definitely recommend them to anyone.

My experience with CertaPro was wonderful from start to finish.  Brian, the owner, was very professional during the estimating process, the office kept me informed about my start date, and the work the carpenters and painters performed was neat and professional.  I loved not having to watch over the shoulders of the folks doing the work.  Everything turned out great and I'll definitely be calling on them again.

Our first experience was a well dressed and very professional  representative( Brian) that gave us the quote.  We thought we would be getting very professional painters.  In two weeks the painters showed up, the leader spoke english the other 5 did not.  The leader spoke something in Spanish and left.  The others were all over the house in every room.  Nothing was finished from day to day.  We had asked that they do half of the condo and then the other, so we could move everything from side to side and room to room.  That did not happen!!!! When I came home everything was pilled from all the rooms in the middle of the floor.  My fire place hearth had paint all over it.  The color of the trim was not what I told them  to use.  I have plantation shutters and the paint was suppose to match.  I called and email Bryan to come out the following Monday.  He would not answer the call or the email.  His secretary Jennifer called and I told her all the problems.  She got with the leader Omar and told him he had do fix it.  They all so left without painting one door at all, and some of the doors were not painted on the side that shuts where the latch is.  We researched this paint company on the internet and Angies list.  I have never been so disappointed in my life.  I hope this will keep someone else from making at the same mistake we made. We still have issue but rather than fight this we having some else fix them. I never want them back in my home again.

It took them about four or five business days to complete the job. At first, they sent out two guys to do it the first two days. Then the third day, they sent out a third guy. The whole job was total garbage. So they ended up sending out three additional guys for two days to try to fix the things that the first guys messed up. It was a total disaster. The whole job was just very unprofessional. We weren't pleased with it at all. The sales guy came out and looked at it. He didn't push back. He didn't say a word as far as trying to defend his guys. He said, "Yeah. We'll get this fixed" and made some calls. It took a couple of days to get another crew to come out because I wasn't going to have the first crew come back into my house. We were not happy with what happened with those guys at all. The end result was decent. But, when you paint certain things you can't unpaint them. We actually had a couple of contractors come in and quote it cheaper. But, my wife felt more comfortable with these guys and that's why we chose them. We didn't choose based on price. The first guys were terrible and the other guys were pretty decent.

They got paint all over every linoleum floor in the house, the kitchen cabinets, the counter tops, the railing going up the stairs, my brand new vanity in my newly remodeled bathroom, they painted the inside of my front door and got white paint on the front of my blue door, the kitchen sink was left a mess with dried paint. They also left their trash on my floor. Not only did they leave my house a disaster but a set of my screwdrivers disappeared. When I contacted the office to tell them about all of these things they assured me that this was not acceptable and they would be calling me back. They haven't. Save yourself some money and trouble and hire someone else.
Response from CertaPro Painters® of Greensboro, NC
"We very much regret that [member name removed] had a less than satisfactory experience with our company. At the end of her project, when she completed our survey, she wrote "the paint looks amazing, thanks so much." Of course we understand that sometimes issues appear upon closer inspection and we are happy to resolve them. We offered to come out and clean up any and all areas where there may have been paint drops, dust, or anything else, but [member name removed] declined. She did mention to our office manager, on a Thursday, that a screwdriver set was missing. I was out of town and was able to speak with the crew about it Friday evening. We called [member name removed] back Monday morning and let her know that while we could not determine where her $10 screwdriver set had been misplaced (this was not something that we needed for her project and did not use ourselves), we would be sending her a check for $20 to replace it and apologized for the inconvenience. As always, we are still more than willing to resolve and outstanding issues if given the opportunity."
