"We have only recently become aware of the posting made in 2007. Atlas Fence Co., Inc. does not carry wrought iron fence. Wrought iron fence is made to fit by a steel fabricator. Wrought iron is a solid core product. This would have been explained to the member and no quotation would have been offered on wrought iron. It would have been explained to the member that Atlas Fence Co., Inc. sells and installs ornamental steel which is a formed product and is not solid core. We would not have offered a quotation on this product unless the member asked for it. Preparing a quotation takes a good bit of time and is costly if the quotation is not needed. The price difference between an ornamental iron fence and an ornamental steel fence is quite large. If the quotation she says she received from Atlas Fence was for $3,000.00 for the formed steel; her estimate for wrought iron would be $9,000.00 to 10,000.00. We could not have been trying to get rid of something in stock as it is explained to our customer's that each fence is ordered specifically for their project. Our male sales staff member has been with us over 18 years. We have never had a complaint about his demeanor nor his sales procedure. To the contrary, we get glowing reports of how well he works with customer's needs. Atlas Fence Co., Inc. is a Charter Member of the Better Business Bureau and has never had a complaint. Atlas Fence Co., Inc. is a Charter Member of the Carolinas Fence Association and the American Fence Industry Association and has never had a complaint. When a posting is placed on this site, it would be to the advantage of Angie's List to make the Company being reported on aware of it. At this point, you have allowed this posting to be put in place without knowing if any of the facts are accurate. We are a Company in business for over 59 years and do not spend our time on line seeking this type of information. This is evident of the length of time involved. Four years of bad information is detrimental to our Company even if only 1 person looked at it. We actually had a customer tell us she saw this posting after we had given her a quotation thereby you are receiving our response.
