Mike was fantastic. Not only would I hire him again, but I would recommend his services without reservation. My problem started with severe standing water on the side of my home that wouldn't dry up, which was misdiagnosed by three - THREE - contractors as a "drainage" issue. We initially hired the third contractor, but the work team discovered an irrigation leak in a PVC elbow and repaired it, SEVERELY overcharging me as they kept 6 personnel on scene to do a one man job (amongst other overcharges). But that's a different story, albeit relevant. Anyway, I digress.......that was about the time I had the good fortune to meet Mike. I wanted my system checked for additional leaks, and I had also purchased a new control box. Mike was friendly, informative, and professional, to say the least. He responded promptly, installing the control box and repairing two underground PVC leaks, bringing my system back up to par. As for the control box, he secured the PVC pipe through which the control wires were fed to the control box wire port, so rogue wasps couldn't enter and build a nest (as was the case with the old box). He quickly got all sprinkler heads up and working, and I couldn't be more pleased. Now, as I said earlier, this all started with a misdiagnosed irrigation leak. When Mike came out, I'd say within the first fifteen minutes of meeting him, I already understood my system and how it all operates 100x better than after any of my conversations with the previous three "professional" contractors. None of the previous three contractors were able to locate or shut off the water flow to the valve box. One would think this is an elementary job. Within that first fifteen minutes, Mike located the irrigation shut off, whose cap had been covered by grass overgrowth. See, the leak was in the pipe leading TO the backflow preventer FROM the water main. Had anyone found this, the water flow to the irrigation system could have been shut off without interrupting the flow to my home's interior, and my ground would not have remained soaked for months on end. Mike brought clarity to my issue in minutes of his arrival, and the knowledge of how everything ties together was a huge monkey off my back. I showed Mike the repair that was completed by the company I referenced above as overcharging the HE** out of me. He couldn't believe that it took 6 "men" to do the repair, citing it as a one man job. He provided me a letter to that effect, referencing the simplicity of the repair, which will no doubt help me in my litigation battle with the aforementioned contractor. Mike installed the controller; located and repaired two underground leaks, fixed malfunctioning heads, and made me knowledgeable in the operation of my system. He did this not only on his own, but at a fraction of the time and cost of the initial contractor I hired. Honesty and integrity are hard to come by nowadays, and Mike has earned my business for good. I would highly recommend him to keep your system up and running.
