Jeff, the owner, was very professional and punctual in helping us with no heat in the middle of December. He found the first part and then found the second part and had us going all within a week. So we were very happy because it is a very old unit.

The service was great and very affordable. After calling, they were able to respond the very next day. They (Jesse, the AC technician) showed up ready to work that morning after calling ahead to let us know he was on the way. Jesse was friendly and very nice and answered each question respectfully, honestly, and was informative. He worked fast and hard and did a great job. With in just minutes he had our AC working and blowing cold air like never before. He also fixed the clogged pip and stoped the water from leaking into the attic. Over all it was a great job with 5 star service and very affordable.

I can't say enough nice things about this company. From the owner calling me back on a Fri afternoon and getting someone out to us on Mon as promised, all the way to the finished solution which was searched out carefully by Jesse the technician who came to our house, we were treated with complete professionalism. Jesse was such a nice gentleman. He took time to answer my questions (I usually have a lot.). He found that the pressure was abnormally high in the system and went about isolating what was causing that. Once he located the blockage, he showed me exactly what had caused the problem. It turned out that we didn't need the larger repair at all. Not only did he fix our problem, but they saved us a great deal of money comparatively to what we could have spent. I think if we admit it, we always wonder and worry that we get a good honest repairman when we need one. As a woman especially, I have had times that I worried if I was being taken advantage of. Well, that was certainly not the case here! What I got from Jesse, and as an extension Dudley Shoals Heating and Air, was a very honest assessment and repair at a very fair price. Jesse left me feeling like we had gotten VERY LUCKY indeed in joining Angie's List and finding Dudley Shoals recommended by people In our own area. Talk about money well spent. I would recommend Dudley Shoals to anyone needing any type of heating and air work. A+++ all around!

After Canella came out and told us we needed either a $2000 new AC coil or a $9000 new AC system, we had Jeff and his crew come out and give us an estimate.  They were punctual and extremely professional.  Jeff diagnosed and found the leak within 5 minutes (something that Canella didn't even attempt to do).  He repaired the leak in the coil and then recharged the system with freon.  The labor charge for this work was only $200, the rest of the cost was just the cost of the freon which he can't control anyway.  He even offered to help vacuum before he left.  We would definitely be using Dudley Shoals Heat & Air from now on.

We had to have our A/C unit for the main floor repaired last year and they told us we would have to replace the unit at the next issue.  The unit stopped blowing cold air and I called the company that serviced it last year.  They provide estimates to replace the unit.  The cost seemed high so I contacted Dudley Shoal Heat & Air and asked them to provide a quote.

When he arrived he looked at the unit an came back and told us it was an easy repair and we should still have a few years left on the unit.

He replaced a capacitor on the outdoor unit and also adjust Freon, clean outdoor coils and leveled a second unit for $275.

I have found the company for all my Heating & Cooling needs.  Great service, great price and very honest.

Mr. Starnes was very punctual, friendly and professional. My 35-year old heat had, I was sure, passed on. He was able to fix it to cool another day though he could have easily told me I needed a new one. He is very helpful and honest in his estimation of the situation ( I have used this business before), and he  offers his opinion and best service. He does nt try to sell you something you don't need. I would recommend him t anyone who wants a reputable businessman!

It went great! They were very responsive and helpful.

Had a little bit of a problem getting the quote in writing but once we received it we went ahead with the job. Dudley Shoals Heating and Air came in at a considerably lower price than the other quotes we got. The team arrived when they said they would and were very pleasant and polite. The job was done in a day and they cleaned up after themselves. We are very pleased and the house feels wonderful now. We are very satisfied and would not hesitate to use this company again.

He had to replace the thermostat and the only one he had with him could not be used to control the heating unit. He was to return with the correct thermostat before cold weather, but it was mid-December and several phone calls from us before the job was finished. It was a little frustrating.

Not very professional.

I couldn't give a price as the paperwork is not readily available to me. However, it was more than $2,000.00 as We been very pleased with the heat pumps and their installations as well as the venting itself. We can state, from experience, that the owner (Jeff Starnes) is always ready to respond and answer any questions that one has. If they said they would be there, they were there and working hard. I felt safe with the men that were in our home doing the job. Our opinions were sought and considered about the work (vent placement, etc) and they went the extra mile with registering our heat pumps for warranties as well as taking on extra jobs to correct things that we wanted changed. We were very pleased.

Mr. Starnes was prompt, courteous, and worked us in on the same day that we called. The work was thorough and pricing was very fair. I would definitely call again if we ever need to.

It all went extremely well. I have a new 13 SEER 3 ton heat pump and a new furnace as well. All are FrigidAir units and work great..!
This is the 2nd time I've used Dudley Shoals Heating and Air and look forward to using them again if the need arises.

The repair went well. The technician had to do some significant investigation to figure out the problem, but he worked quickly. One part had to be ordered, and it did take a while to get the part in. Once it was installed, though, the repair has been very successful.
