After the work was completed, I called Dynamic two times to tell them the unit still did not seem like it was keeping the upstairs cool and that the humidity levels were high. They did add more refrigerant and said the unit was fine.
Upon switching the unit over from heat to cool on 3/10/16, the unit was blowing hot air and would not cool. I contacted Barber Heating and Air as I was not confident Dynamic had serviced properly and when the unit was checked the technician noted all the refrigerant had leaked out of the unit and the unit had multiple leaks. The technician also noticed the unit had not been serviced and both units looked like they had not been serviced in quite some time - even though Dynamic stated they serviced at time of repair in June 2015.
The evaporator coil was not good and had to replaced again at an expense to me. I did contact Dynamic to get a quote for doing the same work and Barber ( who has a great review on Angie's List and in our community) to quote. Barber was more cost effective and has repaired the unit to our satisfaction.
I do not recommend Dynamic to work on HVAC equipment.
"We didn't replace the Evaporator Coil for the original Homeowner. We replaced the Thermal Expansion Valve inside the Evaporator Coil as that was the Failed Part at the time of our Diagnosis. Per the original Homeowner we serviced the Downstairs Unit only at the time of Repair. Apparently later on the Evaporator Coil started leaking Refrigerant after Mr Moore moved in. We never came back and added Refrigerant and "called it good". Anytime we add Refrigerant we always offer a leak search and Explain to the customer that the Refrigerant will leak back out. We were not contacted about this issue with a Refrigerant Leak. So with that being said the Coil was Only replaced one time by Barber Heating and Air. Mr Moore has provided very inaccurate details of the events surrounding his issue."
This whole scenario is set against a backdrop of Mr Mays being unresponsive to emails and failing to respond in a timely manner to all questions or concerns. The ultimate finish to this story, however, is that we continue to have a leak in the plumbing and they have failed to even come out and take a look at.
