Unique Air Heating & Cooling

During record heat days, my ac went out. I called Unique Air because I had used them once before in June, 2013. I originally found them on Angie's list. Both service calls were a positive experience. I would urge anyone to call this company. They are nice men, professional and know their business.AC repair is not cheap. But I feel they treated me fairly and gave me a good price.

The owner Mike was able to come into our house and diagnose a complex environment problem that was causing our heater to run continuously.  (This problem was not solved by several other HVAC contractors)  During Mike's analysis, he performed the standard maintenance routines to validate the HVAC unit was operating properly.  From there, he looked into what other conditions existed into the house that were causing the unit to not sufficiently heat the house.  After a thorough analysis, he was able to then install the home air quality devices onto our existing HVAC unit to dramatically improve our indoor air quality.  With these additional components, we have been able to control our indoor humidity and provide fresh air ventilation automatically.  All of this was set up on an internet capable control module so we can control the entire system from a smartphone.  As a result, the HVAC does not run continuously to heat the house, and now operates very efficiently.

 Mike has been incredibly responsive in the time that we have worked with him.  He has responded to calls, email, and texts very quickly.  His initial service call was on a Sunday afternoon and we have also completed a facetime conversation as part of the diagnosis.  After the initial installation, we had an issue with the equipment itself.  Mike quickly responded, worked with his supplier, and they resolved the issues through the product warranty in the matter of a day. Through the entire process, he has taken a lot of time to completely explain to me what was happening and provided detailed recommendations.  His level of customer service, responsiveness, and communication has been outstanding.

I would definitely recommend Mike and Unique Air for HVAC and home comfort systems.

The technicians were exceptional:  professional, knowledgeable, and efficient.  I love my new thermostat that allows me to control the heating and air conditioning remotely using my cell phone.  I will definitely use Unique Air's services again!

Mike and his guys are truly professional and personal.  I trust them with my house as I would a family member, to the point where they have the house alarm code and I have let them in when I wasn't even in town.  They have always been thorough and professional, while also creating that personal touch that I look for in a provider.  Mike has always been very upfront with me on things, sharing costs and expectations of services, which is much appreciated.  I would recommend Unique Air to anyone who is looking for a quality and personal service to their HVAC needs.  Mike and his crew are up to date on all the regulations and at the same time create the trusting environment that I wish all my other providers would provide.  For all my HVAC needs as long as I live in the Charlotte area, Unique Air and Mike will be servicing my home. 

It was good. The technician was very thorough and he told me what needed to be done. We did have a few problems getting the service scheduled as we couldn’t find a time that worked for both of us. He got the job done in about 45 minutes to one hour.

They found a problem with the furnace which could have been dangerous and we're punctual in replacing the furnace even if they had to delay some other appointments somewhat.

We have an old furnace which is working very well and we did not need a repair but we usually have 1 or 2 tuneups every year. Every time we have a technician for tune up he tell us it would be a good idea to get a new furnace. The good part about LLC Heating & Air Condition was that they examine the furnace and thought it was in good shape and did not mention replacement . The visit was short and pleasant.

It went great, and they were very nice, honest, and quick. He also re-programmed our thermostat and went above and beyond. The scheduling was very fast. He got the job done in about 20 minutes. Our system is new and it didn’t really need anything done to it. The technician was very nice, I felt safe, and he knew what he was doing.

They were fine. The young guy got up there and made the diagnosis. I needed to go to an appointment and he hustled to get the job done. He had to go and get a part and was able to complete the job before I needed to leave. He gave me some information about a new furnace. He got the job done in about half an hour. The scheduling was pretty quick. Everything is now working fine.

Mike is an Excellent HVAC Contractor.  Highly professional, very knowledgeable.  The manner he employs in conducting business with the customer is an great example of how many others should pattern their own business practices. I am sure his competition is chasing him.  I fully intend to recommend him to a vary large corporation that uses the services of Unique air in the residential side of there business.  Five Stars.

We were searching for an HVAC company that would be honest enough to check out the unit and tell us why we were having to replace freon every year since the system was about 3 years old. (the home is now 6 yrs old).  Previously HVAC repairmen had come and replaced the freon and charged us for it, but, would not invest the time to check for the leak while the system was under warranty.  We even had one company that replaced freon at $90. per lb. which we assumed was R-22 freon.  This was done in April 2013.  This system we now learned from Mike  uses the new 410 freon which cost less than half the price of R22.
Unique Air ran a big deal ad for $29. to evaluate the system during this time.  I called them, spoke with Mike and bought the deal.  They came out the same day, evaluated the system and told us the coil had a very bad leak and had to be replaced at a cost of $1167.00.  This included the $50. credit from the big deal. Mike sent us pictures of the leak.  This was very disturbing to us to realize we had so badly been ripped off by other repairmen who are certified in their field. ( we decided to go with the Angie's list repairman,Unique air,  because we do have some recourse)
They did the repair the following day.  So far, the system is working well and we do hope that this problem is solved for good and we will not have to replace freon again when spring comes.

Great job done!  The gentlemen were prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable.  Mike has the best prices and will work to help you decide if you actually need a new unit or not.  He's honest and considerate.  We will definitely keep him as our A/C guy!

Mike was extremely prompt. I heard from him within 20 minutes of reaching out with an HVAC Big Deal special.
In addition to being prompt he was also very quick with the diagnostics when he reached the unit. 
He did a great job, was very ethical, and gave me the credit due from the  Big Deal special unlike some other vendors I have used with the Big Deal specials.
He cleaned up his small mess and has followed up with me to see how things are going.
His biggest attribute is not trying to "up-sell".
99% of HVAC companies have specials so they can get in your door and up-sell. Try to make you feel stupid for staying with your old unit. 
Mike did not do this and he was respectful of my call not to replace the unit.
The only minor quibble is that I think his price for freon is a little high. It is a lot less than the brand name operators in Charlotte who advertise ad-naseum....but a little high.
Other than that I plan on using him again at another house.

PERFECT! PERFECT! PERFECT! I called to schedule service and they spent time talking to me to actually understand what I needed and were at the door in two hours. They were polite and patient, taking time to understand the problem. The repair was completed quickly and they even called back later that night to make sure the HVAC was still working. I can't say enough good things about these people. They were honest and didn't try to sell me a whole new unit. Best believe they are definitely the person I will turn to for all future HVAC maintenance.

Mike was the best.  I requested a callback Sunday via their website, and was called within minutes of the request.  Mike came out Monday to the house as we agreed on Sunday and performed the inspections requested.  He was professional, courteous, informative on solutioning and was fully equipped to handle all of our needs.  He was detailed in his explanation to me, as I was not present, and overall thorough in his examination and solutions.  Beyond all of that, he was honest.  He didn't try to fix something that didn't need to be fixed and never attempted to sell something.  He performed the work, presented his findings and then allowed me to choose what I wanted to do with ZERO pressure. 
As a newcomer to the Charlotte area, I will use Unique for all of my heating and cooling needs for as long as I am here in the CLT area. 

I called Unique Air at 5pm Saturday, June 1. Mike came at once, found the problem, made repairs, and was finished by 6pm. Amazing fast service - you can't beat one hour!. He was an expert in his field, explained what he did, and assured me he would provide follow up service as needed. I will certainly recommend his company to my neighbors. And buy a new unit from Unique Air when I must replace this one. It was a pleasure to do business with a local small but top notch professional.

A/C unit went down on a hot day. We called Unique Air, and they responded with in one hour, and had us cooling in about an hour. Best service we could ask for.

This company has exceptional service. Almost half the price of previous company that came out. This company has earned a number 1 spot. Thanks for the service, heat is working great.
