We have a Liberty gun safe that came with an electronic keypad lock. The lock had started acting up and we decided to have a combination lock put on it. Liberty declined to help us, and told us to call a locksmith. I was given Mr. Crain's name and number by the Hyatt Gun Shop in Charlotte. I called and talked to Mr. Crain, explaining what was wrong. He came out the next day, and got the job done in about an hour. He took the time to lubricate the inside mechanisms of our safe, tighten up a few loose bolts, and most importantly he patiently taught me how to work the complicated lock he installed. He cleaned up every bit of mess, and gave us a reasonable bill for the job. I am very happy with Mr. Crain's professionalism and his 20 years of knowledge, and won't hesitate to call him again if we need this type of service. One note: Angie's List didn't have a category for "Safes" and yet "Locksmith" doesn't quit fit the service Mr. Crain provides. His business card says "Lock and combination changes" so give him a call to see if he does residential locks or just safes.
