Refresh Custom Paintworks and handyman service

Not well. Before getting started they had to wait 7 days for my check to clear the bank before gettng starrted. After that it took 2 1/2 more weeks to finish the work. The quality of the work was not good. There are "bad" spots around the moulding areas of the ceiling. The paint quality was also very poor. There was paint on one of the ceiling fans that I removed myself. The trim work was not good, with some moulding trim paint on the new ceiling. The person seemed to be in a real hurry towards the end of the project. I will have to repaint the moulding and ceiling next to the moulding myself. There was sanding dust everywhere which was not cleaned. I had to hire a Cleaing Company to come in and clean the furniture of the dust and debris. The corners of the new moulding that was installed was not good, with some big gaps in the corner mating points. I will certainly not hire this person/company again.

Richard's work was extremely disappointing and far from professional.  He boasted that he didn't have to use painter's tape, however, after he finished it was obvious that he should have.  He was to call the first of the week to let us know when he could start.  He called on Wednesday stating that he could be there within the hour!  Fortunately my husband works from home and had no appointments scheduled.  Upon arrival Richard informed him that he had a 3:30 appointment, but thought he could finish the job in plenty of time. 
When Richard announced he was finished, my husband pointed out a number of places where the wall paint didn't meet the trim or the wall paint was overlapping the trim paint.  Richard attempted to fix them.  When I arrived home and we looked more closely, almost the entire baseboard needing repainting, as well as some of the closet door trim/walls.  The trim in the closet needed repainting as well and it was obvious to me that no concern or care was taken to provide the quality work of which he had boasted.
Last Saturday we spent several hours taping off and fixing the gaps between the trim and walls and straightening up the trim paint line.  Some of the trim had to be repainted as there was smudged wall paint that he had attempted to wipe off the trim, but didn't.  We gave him more than a week to come back and fix the quality before posting a review, and he assured us that he would.  Sadly, we haven't heard from him!

Everything went great from start to finish. Richard was always on time and all of the work was done professionally. I look forward to working with him again!
