Freemans Car Stereo

Travis and his team at Freeman's are AWESOME! I had a problem with a previously installed unit and explained the problem to Travis. He assisted me in finding a replacement, scheduled the installation, emailed me with updates (while he was on vacation) and made sure that the job was 100%. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Excellent and Professional Service. Met my appointment on-time. Showed me the previous installation was not up to par. They correctly installed the system, no rework here. The service manager did not have the set of speakers that I previously selected. He upgraded my speakers to the next level with no increase in cost. Showed me how to operate the Kenwood and adjusted the sound and equalizer to a "great sound' system.

We had bought a used 2000 Hyundai that did not come with a remote keyless entry system, and we wanted one installed. My husband has the ability to install car electronics but decided to let the professionals handle this one! He researched local car audio shops & decided on Freeman's in Gastonia. We walked in on a Saturday morning & were greeted by Travis, the store manager. We told him about what we wanted to do, and he knew right away that in addition to the standard remote keyless entry system, they'd have to install an actuator in the driver's door based on how this car was wired from the factory. One reason my husband had chosen Freeman's is because a dedicated car audio store was more likely to have parts like that in stock than a 'big box' store. Travis gave us an estimate, and when we asked about wiring all 4 doors plus the hatchback he also gave us a "worst case scenario" estimate in case some of the car's wiring had to be replaced as well. The price was comparable to the prices we had checked at 'big box' stores, and we felt very confident about Travis' knowledge of car audio. He said it would take about 2 hours so we left the car and the keys with him & went out to breakfast. A few hours later we called the shop, and Travis advised us that the installation was complete! (The reason I rated "B" for Responsiveness is because the shop didn't call us to let us know the car was done.) When we returned to the shop, the price was actually lower than the first estimate he had given us by a few dollars. We were very happy with the friendly customer service that we received from Freeman's, the price that was comparable to other places we checked, but what we most appreciate is the superior knowledge & experience that they offer as a dedicated car audio shop! We'll be back for any of our needs and will recommend Freeman's to anyone without hesitation.

THE YOUNG MEN AT FREEMAN'S WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND OBVIOUSLY ENJOY THEIR WORK. THE ALARM WORKS GREAT. I HAD TROUBLE WITH MY TAILLIGHTS AND WENT BACK TO SEE IF THEY HAD DONE SOMETHING WITH THE WIRING. THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM, ALTHOUGH THEY HAD NOT CAUSED IT. TERRIFIC STORE.
