It went well the first time when he wanted work.  He came up in a fancy black Escalade, dressed in "church clothes" and said he would be back to work. He returned when he said he would the first time. (in a pick up truck) .He and his team worked hard and fast at first.  He said he wanted to be the person we could count on.  He had done work for several neighbors and it looked good.
Then, he starts coming by your house periodically and says you need manure in your garden or something else.  He burned many of our plants with too much fertilizer and said he would replace them.  He claimed he had a "large area in his yard" that he would take the old plants to for them to "recover" and he would replace ours from plants at Stowe Nursery.  He has pulled out several of our neighbor's bushes and she just has blank spots where he has never come back to replace them.  He did driveway work for her too.  He will claim he can do "whatever you need at the moment."  He has never replaced our bushes.  In addition, he said we needed manure on our garden this spring and that he would come back and spread it out.  We had a lot of beautiful strawberry plants. He said this would insulate them for the winter.  It insulated them alright - it killed them!  He put way too much on them and never returned to pull it back for the spring.
The only way you can get him to answer the phone if you have a problem is to call him from a number he doesn't know.  He will tell you when he is going to come, but never shows back up.  Quite often, his voice mailbox is "full."  He is associated with a partner named Rodney Hicks (704-495-4344).  
DO NOT USE HIM!!  He very polite and "convincing."  In our opinion, he is a scam artist at his best!
