Ashley Jenkins Painting Contractor

I was very dissatisfied with the professionalism and paint job.  Painters spilled paint on the driveway and carpet.  They did not tape windows so I am cleaning paint of all windows in the house now.  smoked on the porch and left ashes all over the porch,  trashed my bathrooms, did not cleanup after themselves.  Used my Kitchen sink and Utility sink to clean their equipment.  I put tape over the kitchen sink with a sign asking them to please not use the kitchen sink. Next evening the tape was gone and so was the sign and the sink had been used again after I cleaned it.  I had unplugged the Refrigerator and moved it away from the wall to prep for the floors being done, and the painters took it upon themselves to plug it in and use my refrigerator for their drinks, which they left half empty cans in my fridge for me to clean up.  Bathroom was horrible, they got paint all over the trim, did not tape on the tub and sink area.  I had to call the Ashley to get them to fix it. They did not sand the walls evenly, so now some of their patch jobs show through the paint.  They go paint all over my door handles and hinges. On Trim they did not clean the trim before painting, or even priming in places so stains are showing through.  I can go on, bar far the most horrible experience with a painter I have ever had,  had I known this was the work I was going to get, and for the price, I would have done it myself.

Steer clear of these folks, price is way too high, I can do a better job and I am not a painter.

Horrible....I had used Ashley Jenkins Painting years before for the exterior of my house and was satisfied with job.  So, when I put my house on the market, I decided to use the company again.  This time having both the exterior and interior of the house painted as well as wallpaper removal and wall repair.  Outside job was fair, inside was horrible.  In some rooms, entire walls were missed.   There was paint on the oak molding throughout the house and on hardwood floors.  Paint was also on oak fireplace mantel, where there was no painting to be done on fireplace area.  The entire house switchplates and socket plates were removed and not put back.  They were removed from the property, not just placed to the side to replace after paining.  I called Ashley Jenkins and pointed out the previously mentioned areas to be addressed and the missing switchplates.  His crew put white switchplates back on all areas, but they were supposed to be cream colored.  I called Ashley Jenkins again and they put a mixture of white and cream colored.  I had to contact Ashley Jenkins three times to try and get my inside painting corrected and requested that he just put the cream colored ones that were removed from our house on our porch and we would put them back ourselves.  It did not get done to our satisfaction, even though the first call involved a punch list of exactly what we were unhappy about.  We finally just gave up and ended up paying someone else to repair the crappy job,  We did also pay Mr. Jenkins in full just to be done with it.

  Got estimate on 5/15/2011 - called on 5/27/2011 to schuedle work. for July 5th week.
Work was completed 7-18 thru 7-20.

That was during the 95-100 degree heat spell.
I did not chose them because they were the cheapest - I had four estimates - they were about in the middle.
 
Also being a local company I figured it would be eaiser to deal with any problems.
None so far.

Great - no problems. Great work, on time, always reliable!

My home was trashed. They didn't finish the smaller things. I had to hire another painting contractor to finish the job.
