Tom was very responsive, came out within 48 hours, and his technicians, especially Ruben, the taper, did a great job. It was a pleasure working with him and I would certainly hire again.

Thomas was prompt and worked very quickly and efficiently. He did the work with a minimum of mess/dust and cleaned up the mess from the project each day. The project took 3 days and he communicated when he as coming each day since the mud had to be allowed to dry. The ceilings looked great after he was done and the walls showed no sign that work had been done on the ceilings. He is not the least expensive, but is well worth the money since he did excellent work with the least disruption to our schedule. Recommend calling him directly as he did not seem to check Angie's List messages. He did accept the Angie's List coupon though.

Mr. Howell was on time, diligent, neat and meticulous. He cleaned up each day and frequently asked if I was happy at each stage of the build. He stated at the outset that payment for the job would be when he was finished and I was completely satisfied. A rare find in many workmen today.

Thomas did a wonderful job. He responded quickly and was able to complete the repairs within one day of the request. He was punctual, friendly, and very professional. I would highly recommend!

Thomas Howell was extremely professional and his work was of top quality. Also, I thought his pricing was fair and competitive. He did the work alone which I like instead of having several contractors in and out of our house. He came in, assess the damage, provided the estimates and he did the work. The work was contained to my living room ceiling which is pretty medium-to-larger living room and 2 guest bedrooms (including smaller job on the front porch). With the size of the work he was able to contain over a couple of days. He said he does bring in another individual sometimes for larger jobs as fyi. I would recommend and I would use him again. I'm late in my review but was back on Angie's list looking for another contractor and feel it's important to do the good reviews as well as the cautionary ones.

Tom helped to transform our unfinished Bonus Room into a beautiful media room! He had great ideas on how to maximize storage and he worked diligently to get everything done in time for a big party that we had planned! I would definitely recommend Tom to anyone

Went well. Took exactly the amount of time he said it would. When he was done, it looked great. Drywall hung, mudded, painted. Finished. Very professional, and responsive to all questions.

Tom did an awesome job - he took a look at the job, made recommendations on how to do the work and gave us a very competitive and well thought-out bid. He completed the job as described in 2 days - cleaned up 100% of the mess. Flawless work.

Words do not describe the exceptional experience Thomas provided. Work ethic and quality far exceeded expectations. Having him come back to remove all popcorn and fix other parts.

Thomas is a very detail oriented drywall specialist who definitely enjoys working with drywall. Apart from the hanging of the drywall sheets, he did the rest of the job himself. He worked quickly and expertly to finish the job in just a short time. When he was done the walls and ceilings were very smooth, even and ready for painting. I'd highly recommend him to anyone.

It was a genuine pleasure to have Tom take care of a drywall fix to our kitchen ceiling.
Tom was on time for both his free estimation visit as well as the scheduled work appointment.
The explained the fix he recommended for our situation - removing a 4 foot x 4 foot square of ceiling and replacing it with fresh drywall.  The work proceeded exactly as he predicted, and took the time he predicted it would.  He took time out of his work to point things out to me about the structure of the framing above the ceiling (the kitchen addition was done in a quirky but acceptable way by a previous owner).
I was worried about the look of the ceiling, but I shouldn't have been.  Tom has 40+ years of drywall experience and it shows.  When his drywall, mud work, and sanding were done, the seams were completely invisible!  This man is a real craftsman.
Per agreement beforehand, I was responsible for painting once the drywall work was complete.  I took my time and to be honest it's the nicest looking repair we've had done in a long time.  Standing at the innermost wall of the kitchen and looking at the ceiling in the direction of the windows is probably the best test, since natural daylight really reveals any warping or lack of evenness in the drywall work.  It's completely invisible!
While I hope I never need drywall repair again, Tom will be the first person I call if I do.

Thomas fixed a very poor drywall finishing job that had been done by another company. I can't say enough about how the quality and skill of his finisher saved me from the poor quality of the other company.  If you want  your drywall done right, Thomas is the man you need.

Thomas repaired the first floor ceiling under a 2nd floor toilet that had plumbing issues.  The plumber pocked a hole in the ceiling to let
the water flow out.  It was necessary for Thomas to replace a section approximately 3 ft square where the water had bowed the sheet rock.  It required two trips to finish the job.  Thomas had the skills to fix the problem, the right equipment (large rotary dust free sander)  and the professional attitude to get the job done right the first time.  The price was exceptional considering I had another service tech that came to the house to view the damage who gave me a quote of $450.

Tom was extremely professional and thorough.  I would highly recommend him to remove popcorn ceiling.
We hired Tom to remove the popcorn ceiling before we moved into our house in N. Raleigh - we were on a very tight deadline and needed to have our floors refinished and ceiling finished before we moved in.
Tom worked around the crazy schedule we had and even when the floor refinishing ran over schedule - Tom was flexible and worked around the other company.
Popcorn removal is a very messy job so I highly recommend doing it before you move in.  We were finding "popcorn" for weeks after the job was done, but we expected that.  Tom cleaned up after the job and was very respectful of our home.
I had about 1700 square feet of ceiling where popcorn needed removed, painted the ceiling, Tom patched in an "open" pass through
 between our kitchen and living room, and finally he patched some areas around our skylights.

He did a very good job and is a very nice man.  I'd recommend him any day of the week!
