What I liked most was anytime I needed Daniel to come out, he came out to the house. What I didn't like was that the sod never took. I've got an irrigation system with patches of grass in the backyard.

Taproot was great to work with. The manager Daniel came out and talked with us and gave some great ideas and worked out a plan and estimate that we were comfortable with. The pavers he selected worked out perfectly as a walkway from our backyard shed to our patio. Taproot staff was extremely professional and polite the entire time they were at our residence. We were so surprised how quickly they were able to get so much done and how amazing things looked afterwards. The quality of work definitely was worth the money. Look forward to using them again in the future.

Initial project went great. Team was professional, cleaned up at the end of everyday, and worked to get the job done within the deadline. Pricing was higher than other quotes I received. Team was responsive throughout.
Be cautious though. When trying to get back in touch at a later date team was no longer responsive. Had to email over and over again before finally getting a response. Warranty information changed after the fact. Get it in writing upfront. During initial meetings, it was explained to me verbally that all dead plantings would be replaced within one year and that if they didn't make it through winter that they would likely need to be replaced. Then when time came to warranty dead plantings that didn't make it , was told they only warrantied plants if they died from "shock, improper planting, or poor quality plants". Was very convenient to change the warranty on the fly since it wasn't in writing.

Taproot is great! Kevin quickly got us an estimate to have our existing beds mulched and a new bed created in the backyard. Their price was very competitive and the work was complete quickly. We are very pleased with the service and will use them again for mulching.
Update: We found that during the installation of our plant beds the tiller used by Taproot destroyed some corrugated pipe. This was covered with dirt and mulch. After a few heavy rains in the spring, the damaged pipe began pushing water upward and flooding the bed. We also found that one of the plants was dying due to being installed in front a downspout. Downgrading this review to fair from excellent.

After researching and meeting several landscape firms, Taproot provided a free consultation whereby the owner, Chris Petit, came to our home to do a walkthru of our property and discuss not only our needs, but also his observations of the property. He was punctual, professional and extremely knowledgeable.
With the maintenance program, his crew is out each week, weather permitting, mowing, edging and blowing. We have been very pleased with his crew, who are always polite and hardworking! To date, we have not had any issues of any kind.
Another reason we would recommend Taproot is they try very hard to be accommodating, especially on last minute requests (on reasonable projects that is). Chris has always worked with us on any request we had, without ever making us feel guilty.
If you want a beautiful lawn throughout the year, as well as experienced and reliable people, you should consider Taproot!
