DO NOT USE Rainy Days Irrigations, Inc., based out of Garner. They scheduled an appointment between 9am-12pm last Friday, and I ended up calling as noon approached, and they said they were running late. They showed up at 3:15ish; nice enough guy, but he did not do any work and was there for 20 minutes max, so I asked how we would settle since he was there for such a short time and it was an hourly rate. He didn't know (big company mindset). One would assume it was a quote, and I would have the work done until I got an invoice today for $176.92 for basically a quote - no work at all. What a rip-off!! They said there is an "evaluation" fee, basically a quote to collect money. DO NOT USE THEM! Plenty of businesses will come and give you a quote and do the work on the same day. I have no problem paying a trip charge, but almost $200 for 20 minutes is too much. Lesson learned!

Rainy Days had a technician doing work on the house across the street, but he did not walk across the street to do my work. After an unpleasant conversation with Pam, she agreed to not charge me for travel time. Three hours later the same technician who had been across the street showed up. He did good work. Rainy Days is run for maximum profit and company convenience, not for customer service or regard for their reputation. They spent a few hours running a bypass and capping two zones. Thought that the price of $650 was high. They had to come back to fix items missed and tried to charge me an additional $150, which they later waived. I had to fix another line that they missed. We also had them quote the new work but their price was very high and we used someone else.

Provider arrived on time and walked the yard with me to assess the situation. The two folks from Rainy Days replaced the sprinkler heads I was aware of and found a couple of additional heads that needed to be replaced. They also provided a solution to one area that needed additional watering and gave me two options which I could choose based on need and price.
On price, their travel charge is calculated differently than other similar providers and I think it is a better deal but honestly didn't understand how it was different than the others. Also their hourly rate was higher than other providers by 10-15% but I think this may be an example of you get what you pay for. I have had much worse experience with cheaper providers and would use Rainy Days again simply because of the quality service for the price paid.

The professionalism stands out. They came really early, so they worked me in like the 7:30 appointment one morning and they were punctual, did the job and got it done.

It was very good. They are responsive, professional, and knowledgable. They had to come back to fix it a second time.

We are very pleased with the system. They even left drip lines ready for us to do more landscaping in the future. Would definitely hire again.

They were good and I was satisfied with their work. The workers were on time. They took care of my shrubs and they cleaned up very well. I wanted something additional done and they were very willing to do it. I just like the way they finished; some people don't finish well but they did.

Cannot recommend. I started using this company after the wonderful reviews here. I had problems from start to finish with them. Everything form never programming my secondary sprinkler system right to overpriced services for minimal work. Customer service of the worker who came out to my house was horrific. When I had complaints about jobs not being done properly, I was charged to have a revisit, and the problem was still not fixed. I ended up having my gardener, who knows how to set sprinkler systems, properly set up my sprinklers. When dealing with this company, there is a very simple premise: They are right, and the customer is wrong and a burden.

Everything went well. No issues, I trust their recommendations.

They responded to my online request for a quote quickly and provided a very thorough proposal within a couple of days. They did a great job of talking me through the entire process and how it would all progress. They were very upfront about the extra cost and time required (no matter who installs an irrigation system) to add an additional water meter through the town of Cary. I received 3-4 quotes from different companies and they were not the highest or lowest, but were definitely the folks I was most comfortable with.

Once all of the paperwork was filed, they started and finished the job on time. They walked me through the programming panel and showed me how to change it. They have also been out 3 times since the initial installation (2 winterizations and a spring startup.) Their prices for continued maintenance are reasonable and they are very friendly, professional and responsive. I would definitely recommend Rainy Days if you are thinking about installing an irrigation system or if you're looking for ongoing system maintenance.

The bidding process was less difficult than I had thought. The price was fair but was enhansed by the various options that I could choose or refuse. The installation went well and was over in one day. The areas that were trenched were refilled an tamped. The lawn was cleaned and shows no signs of distress. Juan Villa explained how to work the timer and helped me set the schedule. He also demonstrated how to adjust the sprinkler heads, and gave me the tool needed for the job. I had delayed having an irragation system installed because of all the trouble it seemed to involve. Rainy Day Irragation made the whole process easy, and they accepted Master Charge.
