Lowes sent a Legacy rep to my home to assess the carpet, which had multiple buckles and ridges due to poor original installation (through Lowes, by Balance Point) and needed stretching. The warranty details on the back of the contract state that the install is warranted for as long as the carpet if done through Lowes. So the Legacy rep measured, took notes and left. Next I got a call from a Lowes carpet guy who said the Legacy rep told him Legacy would not stretch my carpets because there are Heat/AC vents in the floor, and the carpet would not look right after stretching, and Legacy did not want their name on the work. So the warranty means nothing? We will replace the carpet soon, and specifically not use Lowes or Legacy. I rated the Legacy rep with A for being punctual and responding to assess the carpet, but F for professionalism, quality and overall for not doing his job in backing the Lowes warranty.
Description of Work: I attempted to have carpet install warranty service through Lowes Home Improvement, now provided by Legacy.
