I asked him to conduct inspections and pull permits for addional sq footage in home I was selling and he submitted an invoice for $2100 which I paid before he completed any work. The house went under contract and time became an issue so after additional phone calls, he started doing the work. 5 days before closing he sent me a new bill for $6400. He never called once to say he ran into any code issues and needed to do work. I did not have a chance to get a second estimate as he billed me after he had done the work. With only days to closing, my realtor who recommended him said I had to pay it or house wouldn't close. He got beligerent with me when I balked saying no one questions his integrity. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy.
