Mike's Handyman Service

I initially reached out to a gentlemen named Max Albert because he had posted serval adds on Facebook as a professional mobile detailing company that specializes in interior car cleaning. His videos showed high power steam cleaning and the use of many small brushes to provide deep cleaning in hard to reach areas of your vehicle. I scheduled an appointment with him via Facebook and he said one of his technicians would reach out to me to confirm a few days before. I received a phone call from a gentleman named Mike who presented himself as a technician for the company I saw advertised on Facebook. I explained that I was looking for a service that could restore my cars interior to be like the day I bought it from the dealership. That I wanted ever nook and cranny cleaned with steam and the appropriate tools like in the video in Max advertised on Facebook . He reassured me he could provide that level of service and we confirm the appointment for Saturday 9/11 at 8:30 am. Mike did not arrive until almost 9:00 am which was not a big deal. He came in what looked to be a personal vehicle with regular car washing equipment like bucket and soap. No pressure washer no buffing machine no power steamer with small brush attachments for cleaning or vacuuming . He did have what appeared to be like a rug doctor with a hose attachment. I was skeptical but allowed him to do what he said he could do. At around 11:00 am Mike told me he was done with my car. Less than 2 hours surprised me for a$200 detail. My car was cleaned but not a $200 level of detail. He did not touch my trunk what so ever. He did not vacuum it out or clean my weather tech mats. He did not steam clean the headliner or handles on the headliner. Nor did he steam clean any of my console. The level of cleaning I received was that of a typical car wash cleaning that should cost at the most $75. I asked him about my trunk , headliner and such and he just gave me excuses. We don’t do that. I even had to beg him to wipe out the glove console and re do my back window because it was still extremely dirty. There was dirt and food still down in my emergency brake and visible dirt and crumbs in the vents , speakers and cracks and Crevices of my console .I felt scammed and mislead . Had the right equipment been used like what was advertised the results would have been much better. They falsely advertised a service they had no intention of providing. I reached out to Max on Facebook to let him know I had received my service and wanted to give him feedback as I was unhappy and did not receive what I paid for. Max immediately began to act like he was just an employee not the manager or owner and said he would have someone contact me. It is now 9/18 and I have not spoken to anyone other than Max. He provided me two phone numbers to call which both are just Google subscriber phone numbers. I get no answer. One of the numbers text me back asking how they can help me. I responded saying I received a car detail service and had been given this number to speak with the owner or manager and would like to talk to someone about the experience I received. I never got a reply text. I tried to call immediately again after I received the text from this number. No answer. Max Albert has blocked me on Facebook as well. Long story short. I got scammed out of my money. I received a $75 car wash and that is a generous price to pay but paid $180. I am writing a review here because Mike did the job and was wearing a logoed shirt with this companies name on it and our corresponding text messages are from the same number listed for this company. I have text messages and screenshots to prove everything in my statement above. Don’t get scammed like I did.I would like to add when I looked at the other reviews and the company website for Mikes handyman and cleaning there is nothing advertised for car detailing which only confirmed my suspicions and explained why I had a horrible experience. Stop ripping people off. I am editing this to include a text message I received from Mike the owner himself in regards to this situation after a posted my review . “Dumb white b****nobody has to scam u out of money i have my own...ur car was cleaned and i explained before i came out that i would be shampooing ur seats and carpet not steaming..here nor there the job was done and i ask if u were satisfied..racist b**** if i were white it would have been different...then u told me to go around max and u would just rebook with me so nobody mislead u on anything...u have a used car its not gonna be perfect but it was infact clean...why didnt u add b4 and after picss...like someone has to scam u...get a ******* life fat b****.”

Mike is punctual, competent, and will tackle a wide range of projects. I've now used him several times and will continue to do so. He's also done a great job on several projects for my father-in-law. And to top it off, he's just a genuinely nice person with a good sense of humor
