It was not the cheapest possible install, but it looked good at first. However, after some weeks, it developed large air bubbles and wrinkles. I think this is because the space consists of several small rooms and hallways, with two big pieces of vinyl cut to fit an odd, twisty shape. Regardless of why, I took their recommendations to install it that way, and it should have worked. I've tried to get in touch with them to come remedy this, and have managed to get them on the phone or by email briefly a few times, but they have been unable or unwilling to schedule a time to come look at it that works for me, or to follow up on any calls or emails, though they sounded concerned.
It's too bad because the equivalently priced vinyl brands that I saw elsewhere weren't nearly as nice feeling. They were also willing to go and get a style of transition piece that they didn't carry from another store and install them for me as well, which I appreciated - I would have done it and still paid them to install it, but I was glad that they did it.
There was a minor problem with the install in one bathroom - the vinyl stretched more than expected as it settled in and puffed up, so they needed to trim it in the doorway. It took awhile to get our schedules meshed, but they came out and fixed that very nicely, so I'm especially annoyed that it is so impossible to get them to fix the rest. If they do, I'll make some of this review more positive again.
I will not hire them again, and I don't recommend them - their products are nice, and their people seem skilled, but when there's an issue they're difficult to get follow up from.
Chris the sales manager came out and showed us several samples and he gave us an itemized quote. He stressed that they want the long-term relationship not just this sale which was a bonus in my book. We evaluated all the different quotes and ended up deciding on a different brand line of carpet that was more reasonable from another company. I called him to get a revised quote with the same line as two others so we coould do some apples to apples comparisons. He worked with me to make sure that he was the best price. We choose them and are very pleased with our purchase.
The installation when well and the employee's installing the carpet(yes they have their own employee's installing their carpet) took their time to do things right. They even told me where a couple of squeeks were so I could put some screws in to get rid of them.
One other thing that we liked was that they have a lifetime restreeching included in the price.
Overall we are extremely pleased so far and will update this recommendation if needed.
One last tip I would tell you is find a carpet that you like and then get everyone to quote on that one manufacturer and line so you can do a good comparision.
Installation was prompt. Installation crew was extremely professional, good-natured, and careful of our home and its furnishings. They moved and replaced all appliances, furniture. New floor is gorgeous. We are extremely pleased with the results.
Excellent phone manner and quick reply for estimate. Professionally prepared estimate. Help with choosing flooring...left with less expensive flooring because of color. Agreed that flooring would hold up for a certain reasonable time and trim would be cleaned and painted when reinstalled (added new trim in case of breakage).
Had immediate trouble with kitchen floor. Machine chewed up concrete (which they said was disintegrating...could be), but spread concrete dust everywhere in house and blew fuse which was not found till later. Asked for them to use a shop vac of some sort to stop the dust from spreading (allergies), received no response. They dusted it up by hand and it kept spreading.
Capet Plus did offer a cleaning service, but the kitchen furniture and all china was stacked in living room and dining area and there was no room for anyone to clean and it was Fri. I did most of the cleaning myself over the weekend and I'm a senior. Very upsetting. The cleaners came in the following week, but weren't great.
I'm just wondering where the great reviews came from on Angie's List in the first place.
they would, moved all the furniture themselves, cleaned up great afterward. The whole experience was excellent. Great product, great people, great price, great experience. We will definitely use them again!
