We choose Scott and Horizon Building Solutions after meeting with several contractors and receiving several estimates. Choosing  Horizon turned out to be the best decision we could make.
From the beginning Scott's wealth of experience as a contractor was evident and extremely helpful. We came to him with blueprints for a garage addition to our home with an upstairs bonus area.  While we had blueprints, we did still have questions about the design and best alternatives; Scott was able to explain things and make suggestions to help us achieve what we wanted. We eventually settled on leaving the upstairs unfinished.
Scott was present and involved the whole way through while keeping us informed of the timeline and next steps. He often visited after hours when we were home to keep us informed. We knew when we should expect workers and inspectors and if we wanted to change something with the design, he was very flexible and upfront about any additional costs that would be added. Having read horror stories of other contractors and seen some budgets get inflated on reality Do-It-Yourself shows, it was a breath of fresh air not to have any surprises with pricing. I can also say it was terrific to work with someone who could adapt midstream to little details that were important to us.
All of the subcontractors and workers were very skilled and friendly. There was always someone on site we could talk to immediately if we had questions and of course, we could always give Scott a call as he made himself available whenever we needed him. It was truly a great experience and we highly recommend Horizon Building Solutions.
