The repairman showed up promptly and sounded as if he knew what he was doing. He diagnosed the problem as the compressor was seized up. A week later, he returned to install the compressor, and told me the system would work okay until the coil arrived the following week. More than two weeks later he returned at 9:00 at night to install the coil. He told me it was far more complicated than he expected, and he would return the next day. He finally (after very much jerry-rigging) got the coil installed. And then no A/C. Repeated calls to our home warranty co and directly to the contractor gained no results. One month to the day later, on July 1 another contractor (Comfort Air) came to the house and told me the coil had been incorrectly installed. After several hours redoing the lousy work performed by H. M., I *finally* had AC working. I don't know which was more frustrating: the incompetent first contractor, or my efforts to get the job done right thru warranty co. Aargh!
Description of Work: Warranty replacement of AC condenser & coil.
