Chris Amey is a North Carolina Licensed, and Inspector Nation Certified, Home Inspector. After 20+ years working in the design-build remodeling and disaster restoration industries, Chris has developed an eye for the building craft and a passion for quality. In addition, his military service has given him an uncompromising attention to detail. For most, buying a home is the largest investment decision they’ll ever make. With this in mind, Chris started Foresight Inspection Services to provide homebuyers like you with the peace of mind you’re looking for when buying and caring for your home.

Chris did a fine job on our home inspection, but there were certain things within the report that were misrepresented. Things he found to be broken really were not or areas of concern for him turned out to be totally fine. There were also things he mentioned to us in his run through that were areas of concern/ he recommended we fix that was not included within the report. When asked to include them he did but I do not believe that should be the responsibility of the home buyer. Overall he was pleasant and easy to work with but the quality of some of the work was questionable.. not really how you want to feel after a home inspection.

Chris literally saved us from a money pit purchase. I found Foresight Inspection based on reviews, and I am happy to add my praise to Christ and his business. He answered all my contacts promptly and was great to talk to. On the day of our inspection, he had another home to do and there were a lot of concerns, and he told us it may take a day or two to get to our review and relayed the highlights of what he would be including. When the enormity of what costs could be added to our purchase price was realized, as well as our concern for failed disclosure by the seller, we reached out to see the status of our report. Chris literally stayed up late to ensure it was in our hands the next morning! His knowledge and integrity helped us to avoid even greater losses on our potential purchase. Highly recommended. Chris Amey is the best home inspector. He is extemely thorough. His home inspection report was 50 pages!!! He took excellent pictures of all the defects. He even took a picture of a defective electric stove burner - with the burners on so that I could see that burner not lighting (the only dark one)! He goes above & beyond and his price was right.

He found a number of electrical, structural, and plumbing concerns that were missed by the inspector sent by the Mortgage Company during our closing.
