Jarrod Ellis started his heating and cooling career at Piedmont Air Conditioning and later at Apex Heating & Air installing new HVAC systems. During this time Ellis attended Wake Tech for service training. After completing the Wake Tech program, Ellis took a job in the hottest place he could find, Miami FL, to sharpen his skills as a service technician. He acquired his NC State Contractors license and opened Ellis Heating & Air Conditioning in 2004. We are proud members of the Apex Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating since 2005. We are also an American Standard Customer Care dealer with a 100% referral rate from our customers. Husband for 17 years and father of a young son, Ellis understands the need for honesty and commitment. He respects the environment and is a supporter of Arts and Music.

Excellent! I've been very please with the quality and service from Ellis HVAC for more than 10 years. In my case, a well known "heating and cooling" company in Apex stuck me with an inferior Coleman unit which had been trouble from the very start. I complained but, but they just said "Sure it's under warranty, but that just covers parts. Labor will be $900". (gotcha!). After that, they never got another dime of my money! A little later I discovered Jarrod Ellis HVAC and he kept it going for years until it finally gave out (saved me a bundle!). Then he replaced it with a superior American Standard unit (same company makes units for Trane) and it's been trouble free now going on 5 years. Great people! Highest possible recommendation.

I needed my HVAC unit replaced. My existing one was over 20 years old. The actual fan stopped working on it last week. After weighing out my options, I decided to proceed with replacing the unit. Jarrod, along with his team of Neal and Brian arrived on time, replaced all of the equipment both underneath in the crawl space and the outside unit in one day. I was quite impressed and pleased with their service. They have been servicing our unit for years. I highly recommend Ellis Heating and Air Conditioning. I have been completely satisfied with them since we have been homeowners. I have been dealing with Jarrod and his staff (for several years now and counting).

It could not have gone better. I hired Jared based on the angie's list reviews and they were spot on. He is the ultimate professional. We had no contract and did the job on a handshake. He is that kind of man. He told me that we did not need to replace the unit with the same size, so we went with a 1.5 ton vice 2 ton.

Contacted Ellis Heating via email and got a quick reply with a scheduled appointment the very next day. They came out, troubleshooted the issue, inspected the equipment, and resolved the problem by fixing the Nest thermostat settings (improper setup caused the thermostat to not warm the air). Glad to know there wasn't a larger issue!

Went well. They completed the entire job sooner than expected. Cleaned up afterwards and left no mess. They used the new thermostat I bought instead of insisting I use the brand that came with the system I purchased. I'll probably start having them do the semi-annual service on my systems now as the last company to do that missed the fact that the upstairs unit was essentially non-operational.

Jarrod Ellis fixed the issue within an hour. He installed a new trap for the drainage tube which should prevent this issue from happening again.

Excellent service from start to finish. I got a quick response to my initial call and Jarrod was able to diagnose the problem over the phone. He provided me immediately with a quote and that he had the needed parts available today on his truck. He arrived at my home precisely qhen he said he would . My AC unit was fixed immediately and he even cleaned my unit for no additional charge. Not one time did he try to over charge me.I would recommend this company to anyone. They are honest, hard working and completely reliable.

Jarrod responded promptly and arrived when he said he would. He quickly determined that the combustion motor was the reason the furnace wouldn't start; thought we'd need to replace the motor, but he removed it and cleaned it first, and then it worked just fine.

It's clear Ellis AC knows how these systems work. He diagnosed the issue and explained what he would do to remedy it and then delivered on that. 30 minutes later, cool air was flowing. I have used Ellis AC three times on three different properties and he has always been punctual, professional and very knowledgeable.

I was happy that he was able to come on the same day that the AC unit stopped working. The weather forecast was high 90's all week! The service was quick and painless. Very friendly and professional. I would recommend to anyone.

After having another company quote $500 to $5000 to repair our downstairs AC unit, I joined Angie's List and found Jarod Ellis. 1. He came to our house when he said he would. 2. Within 15 minutes of his arrival he diagnosed the problem and recommended steps to fix it. The freon was low, possibly leaking out slowly over the years. 3. Suggested refilling the freon first and see if it lasts, cost $295.00 4. If it doesn't last, replace the coil as that is usually the part that is leaking, cost approximately $1200.00. 5. He refilled the freon, inspected the rest of the system, made suggestions for the future. 6. He is very professional and personable. 7 I've found my AC man, will definitely use again!
