Everything is great. What a difference. The Carolina Custom Curbing work team worked effectively and professionally. The were most polite and sincerely seeking our satisfaction. They listened to our concerns and immediately addressed or requests. The overall job was accomplished within a few hours and exceeded our expectation. This is one of those 'best' Angie's List experiences that make this service most valuable and us most happy for the quality of work, confidence in capability and skill; and getting exactly, or greater that we ever expected.

They arrived right on time on the morning of the service. Once they arrived they got right to work. Several guys started to remove the old plastic edging and dispose of it while another was edging the flower beds. Once they had the area prepared they got right to work installing the concrete edging. The job was done in no time and looked wonderful. I have received several compliments on the job they did.

The folks at Carolina Custom Curbing applied a brick border/curbing along a flower bed in the front of the house between our kitchen window and front sidewalk. Turned out to be a perfect landscaping touch. Added some lava rock in the flower bed to match the curbing, and light rope tucked inside a notch in the back of the curbing and it looked dynamite! They were very friendly and easy to work with. Made sure we were 100% happy with the job. Relatively price competitive with others. I would probably call them first, next time we add some more of this to our landscaping. Holds up very well. Very nice touch!

They came and installed curbing in my front yard around my flower beds.Their prices are much more reasonable than others, however I noticed cracks in the curbing the next day. They said cracking was normal because of the stamp roller. Their product seems to be a different make up than others which maybe why it is cost a lot less. After complaining and threatening not to pay them, they came back out and sealed it.(something that they say you are required to do yourself within 30 days)After that I purposely paid them in 3 installments, to make sure they would stay around and I could get in touch with them. They were fine with that. Would I do it all over again, NO. but it's in now it looks good. I'm just concerned about the longevity of it. Will it last. I think if I had them to come back to do anything else they would provide better product, because of the issue we have already had. I may consider them to do some sealant/porch stamping etc.(PS. I've spoken with one other person that have nothing but great things to say about Carolina Custom Curbing). Hope this helps.

This was a three day job. Day 1 - they edged the grass back from the driveway, power washed all surfaces to be coated, and caulked hairline cracks in the driveway. The surface of the driveway had deteriorated over 20 years to a rough, porous surface condition that was impossible to keep clean. Fortunately, there were no serious cracks in the concrete. Day 2 - they applied narrow tape over the caulked cracks and along the edge of the driveway and walkway to define the borders. They then applied the polymeric base coat by hand troweling the material in a rather uneven fashion to provide a textured surface. As they applied the base, they removed the tape and used a broom stick to scribe the other grout lines and form the flagstone pattern. This displayed a good bit of artistry, and only took about 2 hours in the morning. In the afternoon, they returned and ran a sander over the surface to reduce the roughness and give the final texture that was desired. Again, a good bit of artistry required. Once sanded, they blew the dust and loose particles off and they applied the colored grout to all the grout lines. One person applied the grout from a small plastic bottle with a nozzle cap, while another followed behind to spread and smooth the grout. That was all allowed to dry overnight. Day 3 - they returned in the morning to sponge paint the color to the surface. This was done by hand with large sponges dipped in a thin solution or coloring material. The color was applied first to the borders, then to the entire surface with various shades obtained by how much was applied. The borders received two coats to provide a deeper shade, while the flagstone area was shaded from light to medium. Again, a good bit of artistry involved. The color was allowed to dry for a few hours, and the crew returned in the afternoon to apply two coats of sealer, the second coat including an anti-slip compound. This finished the job.
Instructions were not to walk on the surface for 24 hours, and not drive on it for 1 week. The surface is shiny but not slippery. Rain water beads up on the surface like on a newly waxed car. We are very pleased with the result, and have had many compliments from friends and neighbors.
Nov. 2013 update. We had our three car garage floor coated with no design similar to the front stoop. It has now been ten months and everything still looks like new. The surface is easy to clean and is a big improvement over the bare concrete we started with. One downside to be noted: As mentioned above, water beads on the surface so that even a heavy dew results in a wet driveway, and freezing temperatures can produce an invisible sheet of ice that is very treacherous to walk on. Driving over the ice has not been a problem. Bare concrete tends to absorb small amounts of moisture and not have this problem.

Responding to an advertising card received in the mail, called for details on their services. Spoke with Stacy, who answered all my questions, and set a time to meet at the house for a quote. She showed up during the time range we established, measured, educated me on how the job would be done and what prep work I should do in advance, explained color and texture options, noted my selections, and provided a written estimate/invoice, which also included specific follow-up instructions on how and when to seal the concrete to protect the color, and even wrote down the exact sealer they would recommend. Set a date for the service.
Crew arrived during the established time window, confirmed job specifics, and went to work. They were polite, friendly, and efficient. Did a quality job paying attention to the smaller details as they proceeded, cleaned up well after themselves, and were very respectful of my property. Overall, very pleased and would hire them in the future.

The crew was extremely friendly and did a great job. I am very pleased with their work. They had given us an estimate before they started work, and had also cleaned up after themselves. They were really nice.

There was a flier left on my mailbox offering a special for custom curbing. I was thinking about having it done and concerned it was out of my budget. The flier showed many options and that they did free estimates. I called about obtaining an estimate and they came out the very next day. They were professional, efficient, and answered any questions I had. I was given a written copy of the estimate. I needed to discuss it with my husband and called back two days later to schedule the service. On the day of the instillation, they were on time and efficient. The work crew had worked together for a long time and you could tell they knew their jobs well. It was finished in a reasonable amount of time and I was given instructions about after care. The only problem I had was the texture was not as deep as it should have been on some sections of the back flower bed. I did not contact the company to remedy it because it was not that big of a deal to me.

I was appalled at the first rain to discover that they had not used a level and line when they installed the run-off gutter. Consequently it did not slope down, and nothing ran off, it just puddled up in my driveway. I called them out to fix it, and they came to pour some more cement to "re-grade" it, however it did not fix the issue. I still have water puddling and not running off. After they came out again, they said that I would have to pay for them to come back and do it right, which is what they should have done in the first place. They refused to rectify their work. Also their crew was disrespectful of my property. At the start of the first day, the owner's wife arrived with the crew and she parked on my lawn. I caught a worker urinating on my shrubbery. As they were wrapping up, they started to rinse out their cement mixer right in my front yard; luckily I caught it and asked them to move off to the side of the property to rinse out the cement. I received ZERO value.
