Description of Work: The guy came out to fix my oven. He looked at it and said "we can't get parts for this" and charged me $65 just for coming out. He was less than a mile from me.

The repairman (he gave me his name but I have forgotten it) came to the house the week before to look at the icemaker. Time from my call to when he showed up was about 1 hour. He said over the phone that when icemakers go bad they usually have to be replaced, not repaired. He came to the house and indeed found that the ice maker needed to be replaced. He did not have one in stock and said it would take about a week to get a new one. He said a new ice maker would cost sbout $150.00 and the service call would cost $57.00. The following week he called to say the icemaker had come in and he could come to the house that afternoon to install the new one. Time from the call to when he showed up was about 1 1/2 hours. It took about 20 minutes to complete the installation and he cleaned up the area when he was finished. He was also good with my big dog who can be suspicious of new people. Total cost: New Ice Maker......... $159.00 Labor ..........................$20.00 Service Call.................$57.00 Tax .............................$10.73 Total..........................$246.73 I thought this was a bit pricey but I have no idea how much and ice maker should cost (maybe he could have left off the labor charge) but overall he was efficient and pleasant and the ice maker is working just fine.
