We are pleased with the care our granddog Zoie receives. She has boarded and she routinely has her nails clipped by Lauren and Jim. They are very patient and considerate with Zoie. Wevhighlybrecommmend their services.

Our dog has some special feeding needs due to health issues, and Hound Hut was recommended by our vet for the occasional times we go out of town. They have no problem accommodating medications or special feeding instructions. Of course, we pay a bit extra for that, but it certainly seems fair. Obviously, our dog can't tell us how she is treated while there, but she always is happy and wagging her tail when we drop her off!

Hound Hut does an excellent job. We had never experienced a "free range" kennel before and found the concept fascinating. It must be a lot of work for them, but they manage it extremely well. Dogs are crated only for feeding and overnight;otherwise, they are free to play together outside in big shaded fenced areas, divided by size. In inclement weather, they bring the dogs inside. Any dog that is intimidated by other dogs or doesn't get along with a particular dog comes inside. Nice people at Hound Hut. Good animal care.

I have used them for about 4 yrs.  One of my dogs is ADD, a total goofus. Other groomers   have not been willing to work with him,
but the Hound Hut folks took their time and worked with him.  Now he's no problem.  They spend the day and come home clean,
clipped and happy.

My friend took a yorkie to be groomed at the Hound Hut last week. Not only was the grooming job done badly, buy more importantly the dog had hand bruising on it's abdomen, it eyes were bulging and blood red and it was clearly traumatized. The vet was consulted immediately and said that there was no doubt that the dog had been strangled, probably due to its falling off the grooming table. The Hound Hut denied responsibility but did pay the vet bills!! They would not refund the grooming fee, however, and asked that my friend not mention the incident to any one. Seriously?

DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!!!
I'm p*****!
My mom took her tiny dog ( a yorkie ) here yesterday for grooming.
This is a super gentle dog.
When she picked her up, she had several major areas of "trauma".
My mom took her to emergency immediately... Here is the diagnosis!
Head trauma
Both eyes filled with blood
Bruising on the stomach - with matching marks on each side that looks like "harness marks"
There are no bite marks.  The marks look like the harness they use to restrain her.
It appears that they cranked it super tight and then abused her!!!
She doesnt walk or wag her tail now.
The groomer is trying to play it off like she must have done something to herself when they werent looking.... The extent of these injuries were done by a "person"!!!
There are no bite marks, so ITS NOT from another dog!!

Our dog loves the Hound Hut. We've used them a few times, and she always comes home exhausted and well taken care of. Our first visit she was supposed to get a free bath, since she was there an extended period of time, but she didn't get one. It didn't bother me much, but she definitely needed a bath once we returned home. Would recommend, and would recommend making your reservation early as they seem to have limited space, especially for larger dogs (70+ lbs).

Lori is excellent with my dog, as are all the workers I know there. My dog is a cocker spaniel, who needs special care for her ears, and she's a rescue dog, as well. We had a terrible experience with our first groomer, which made me nervous about finding someone to work with her. Lori came over to meet me on her off-day, with no notice, to hear our story. She came up with a plan to ease Tandi into the grooming experience over a few weeks, which turned out to be unnecessary, as Tandi was relaxed enough during her first visit to get it all done in one session.
Since then, she has boarded Tandi on several occasions, and has groomed her feet extra after Tandi had knee surgery and was in danger of slipping on my floors due to hair on her paws. This is the only place I would feel comfortable leaving my dog, who has a chronic illness, because Lori used to work for a vet, and knows more than your average groomer/boarder. I recommend Hound Hut to all my dog-owner friends.
